How to Make Snowboys

ACNH - Dress Up Santa.JPG
From December 1 to December 23, Able Sisters will start selling the Santa Hat, Santa Beard, Santa Coat, and Santa Pants. If you happen to miss out the sale, the entire outfit is available on December 24 all at once.

ACNH - Jingle at the Plaza.jpg
Jingle will appear appear at the Resident Services area at 6 AM on the day of the event. You can easily distinguish him from the rest of your villagers as he's a reindeer wearing a Santa Outfit.

He will tell you he is helping Santa deliver presents on your island and will ask for your help!
How to Find Jingle

ACNH - Jingle Wrapping Paper DIY.jpg
After you agree to help Jingle deliver presents, he'll give you the recipe for Festive Wrapping Paper. You need to craft three of these to start delivering presents to your villagers.

If you don't have enough ornaments for the festive wrapping papers, simply talk to Isabelle. She'll give you 3 of each ornaments for free!

ACNH - Magic Bag.jpg
Once you have crafted 3 Festive Wrapping Paper, Jingle will give you the Toy Day Stockings furniture and the Magic Bag tool; the latter allows you to carry the presents you'll need to give to your villagers.

ACNH - Giving Toy Day Gifts.jpg
With the Magic Bag equipped, you can now go around and fill Santa's role in gifting villagers. Just talk to any villager and give them their gift from inside the Magic Bag.

You'll automatically give the right gifts to your villagers, so you don't need to worry about picking something specific.

ACNH - Inside the Magic Bag.jpg
You can check inside the bag to find out how many gifts are left. If there are less than three villagers that need presents, the bag will tell you who the villagers are! This is very helpful if you lose track of who has a gift or not!

ACNH - Toy Day No Santa Outfit.jpg
You don't need to wear the full Santa outfit in order to give out gifts. It is completely optional, though we recommend wearing it to enhance the holiday theme! Your villagers may even make a comment about it!

ACNH - Toy Day Jingle Rewards.jpg
Once you've delivered all of the gifts, return to Jingle so you can get his rewards.

ACNH - Gift Pile.jpg
If you delivered gifts to more than half of the residents of your island, you'll get the Gift Pile DIY recipe.

ACNH - Toy Day Sleigh.jpg
If you delivered gifts to every villager on your island, you will receive the Toy Day Sleigh furniture.

ACNH - Jingle Photo.jpg
You'll also get an additional reward if you hang your Toy Day Stockings in your home. Interact with it the next day to get Jingle's Photo!

ACNH - Toy Day Gift Inside House.jpg
Not all villagers are roaming around the island on Toy Day. Some are staying indoors! If you can't find a specific villager, check inside their house!

Jingle will stay on the island until 5 AM of the next day, so you will have plent of time to find missing villagers.

ACNH - Exchange Gift.jpg
After finishing your rounds as Santa, you can exchange gifts with your residents! Simply have an item wrapped up with any wrapping paper, and talk to the villager to exchange gifts with them.

The gifts that you will receive are from the Toy Day Series of furniture that are sold in Nook's Cranny. They are also in a different variant from what's sold at Nook's! Exchanging gifts with your villagers is a great way to get different variations of the Toy Day series in one go!

ACNH - Wrapping Paper from Raymond.jpg
If you don't have a gift to give to resident, they'll give you some wrapping paper to get started! Make sure to prepare a nice gift for your villagers!

Toy Day Christmas Eve Event Guide: What To Do, Gift Exchange, Rewards

Toy Day with Jingle is an event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) celebrating the Christmas Eve holiday on December 24th with gift giving activities and exclusive rewards! Learn all of the recipes, ingredients, and rewards in this guide.

This event is a new feature introduced in the Version Winter Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons and requires a fully updated game to experience. Learn more about everything in the update here.

Toy Day Christmas Eve Event Start Time & Date

The Toy Day event with Jingle is held in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on December 24th for Christmas Eve! It begins on December 24th, at 5AM and runs for a full 24 hours until 5AM the next day on December 25th.

Make sure you&#;re connected to the internet with your user linked to a Nintendo Account in order to unlock Version c including the event &#; you can find complete instructions on exactly how to unlock the Toy Day event here. If you want to unlock it early in advance of December 24th in your time zone, follow our guide here.

This date is the same for islands in both the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere. Note that the upgraded Resident Services with Isabelle must be unlocked to fully experience the entire event.

You&#;ll know the Toy Day event has begun on your island when Isabelle wears a Santa Hat during her morning announcements and you can hear special holiday themed music start to play replacing the usual hourly theme!

Toy Day Christmas Eve Event Activities &#; What To Do

Once the Toy Day Christmas Eve Event begins in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can find Jingle the Reindeer on your island looking for help! We&#;ve summarized the main activity flow for this event below, with more details on each part later in this complete guide.

  • Talk to Jingle outside Resident Services to unlock the Festive Wrapping Paper DIY recipe.
  • Craft Festive Wrapping Paper and get the Magic Bag of presents from Jingle.
  • Visit all of your villagers outside and indoors to give them presents from the Magic Bag.
  • Get rewards from Jingle after delivering presents to villagers.
  • Exchange your own gifts with villagers to get Christmas Toy Set furniture items.

Learn more about all of the fun Toy Day activities you can enjoy on Christmas Eve in the sections below, including specific details on how to get every item reward available in this event.

Find Jingle At Resident Services

To begin the Toy Day Christmas Eve event, head over to Resident Services and look for Jingle hanging out nearby the plaza area. He&#;ll introduce himself as the black-nosed reindeer and tell you about his job this year helping Santa deliver presents on the island.

You can also find the complete Santa Outfit of clothing and accessories for purchase at Able Sisters on Toy Day, but they&#;re simply for holiday spirit fun and are not required to participate in the event. If you do choose to wear the outfit though, some villagers will comment on it!

Craft Festive Wrapping Paper For Jingle

To begin the next phase of the Toy Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you&#;ll need to craft 3 pieces of the Festive Wrapping Paper item at a DIY Workbench for Jingle! If you don&#;t see the option in the crafting menu, look for a DIY Recipe card left in your inventory by Jingle and learn it.

Crafting the Festive Wrapping Paper is pretty simple and requires one of each Ornament color as listed below:

  • 1 Red Ornament Red Ornament
  • 1 Blue Ornament Blue Ornament
  • 1 Gold Ornament Gold Ornament

Since you need to craft 3 of the Festive Wrapping Paper, this will require 3 Red Ornaments, 3 Blue Ornaments, and 3 Gold Ornaments in total to proceed with the Toy Day event.

If you don&#;t already have these crafting materials, you can find Christmas Ornaments by looking for the decorated Christmas pine trees on your island and shaking them.

It might take quite a few shakes, but beautiful Ornaments still start to drop eventually! Isabelle can help you out inside of Resident Services as well if you don&#;t feel like hunting for the Ornaments yourself.

Learn more about how to get Festive Christmas Ornament and what you can craft with them in our complete guide here.

Deliver Presents To Villagers

Once you&#;ve given Jingle 3 of the Festive Wrapping Paper needed, he will give you the exclusive Toy Day Stockings furniture (hang them inside your house for another reward!) and the special Magic Bag item containing presents for all of your villagers!

Inside of the Magic Bag, you will find enough presents for each of your island&#;s residents to receive a gift from Santa, or in this case &#; you. To deliver presents, simply equip the Magic Bag and run around your island looking for villagers both roaming outdoors and celebrating inside their homes.

When you have the Magic Bag in hand, talk to a villager and select either the &#;I have a gift for you!&#; or &#;Happy Toy Day!&#; options to hand the villager their Christmas present from Jingle! If your friendship with a villager is high, they may give you a gift back too.

Wondering who&#;s left to deliver gifts to? You can open your inventory and interact with the Magic Bag at anytime to check how many presents still need delivering. If there&#;s only a few presents left, the Magic Bag will tell you who you&#;re missing.

Once you&#;ve delivered as many gifts to villagers as you can, return back to Jingle near Resident Services to receive some prizes for your hard work, depending on how many presents were delivered.

Successfully delivering presents on Toy Day to more than half of your island&#;s villagers will get you the Gift Pile DIY recipe, and delivering to every single villager will earn you the Toy Day Sleigh furniture item.

After delivering every present, you can begin participating in gift exchanges with your villagers as covered later in this guide.

What About Villager Gift Hints?

Notably, there is no need to pick and choose which presents you give out of the Magic Bag to each villager as it&#;s completely automatic. If you&#;re looking for a Toy Day villager gift hint list, there simply isn&#;t one because this feature doesn&#;t exist in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Some other past Animal Crossing games featured a mechanic where specific hints would be provided ahead of the event by villagers, and a special reward was given for correctly solving the puzzle of which present each villager wants, but New Horizons doesn&#;t have that.

What If Villagers Are Sleeping Or Can&#;t Be Found?

If you aren&#;t able to deliver gifts to all of the villagers on your island, it might be due to some of them sleeping in their homes. Be sure to check every single house and area on the island, and try saving and reloading the game to move villager positions.

Keep in mind that if you&#;re playing during the early hours of the morning, or late hours of the evening, there&#;s a good chance some of your villagers are sleeping requiring you to seek them out at a different time of day.

Remember that Jingle sticks around for the Toy Day event all day long up until 5AM on December 25th, so you can always return later to hunt down missing villagers and grab the Toy Day Sleigh if you can&#;t find someone initially.

Toy Day Christmas Eve Item Rewards & Prizes

Toy Day isn&#;t only for giving your villagers presents, there&#;s plenty of prizes for your hard work in this Christmas Eve event as well! In total, there are 5 different item rewards to obtain during the Toy Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The first time you speak to Jingle, he will give you the DIY recipe for making Festive Wrapping Paper. After crafting enough paper and giving it to him, Jingle will share the Toy Day Stockings furniture item with you.

Next, after delivering presents around the island to your villagers, there are two more prizes to get from talking to Jingle:

  • Unlock the Gift Pile DIY recipe by delivering presents to more than half of your island&#;s villagers.
  • Get the Toy Day Sleigh furniture item by gifting presents to every villager on your island.

Finally, you can get Jingle&#;s Photo by hanging up the Toy Day Stockings on the wall in your house. Then during the next day on December 25th, interact with the stockings on your wall to find Jingle&#;s Photo waiting for you inside!

In our experience, you can also find Jingle&#;s Photo inside of the Toy Day Stockings on other days after December 25th too, with testing performed up until January 1st. But obviously having the item as soon as possible is best, so we recommend checking for it on the 25th!

For a simple summary and checklist of every Toy Day reward you can unlock, check out the table below:

Need help crafting the Gift Pile DIY recipe? Try speaking to a villager and requesting a gift exchange while missing any wrapped items in your inventory. They should help you out the first time you do this by giving you 3 Red Wrapping Paper!

Unfortunately, that&#;s as far as Toy Day goes in terms of unique and exclusive rewards in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It&#;s a bit disappointing as previous Animal Crossing games have featured an entire set of Jingle Series red and green colored furniture, but there is no Jingle furniture in New Horizons!

Exchange Gifts With Villagers For Toys

While you can&#;t choose what presents your villagers get from the Magic Bag when you&#;re pretending to be Santa during the Toy Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they will be happy to do gift exchanges with you after you&#;ve delivered all of the presents from Jingle!

Exchanging gifts with your villagers during Toy Day requires an item to be fully wrapped, either by crafting Toy Day&#;s Festive Wrapping Paper or purchasing wrapping paper at Nook&#;s Cranny. If you don&#;t have wrapping paper, try giving a gift to a villager anyway and they&#;ll give you some wrapping paper for free the first time.

Once you&#;ve got gifts wrapped up and ready to go, you can talk to any villager and select the &#;Let&#;s exchange gifts!&#; option. In return, the villager will give you a wrapped up gift back in exchange that you can open up in your inventory! You can only exchange a gift with each villager once.

During the Toy Day event, the items that villagers gift back to you in exchange will be from the Christmas Toys Set of furniture that are sold in Nook&#;s Cranny throughout the month of December. This villager gift exchange can be a great last minute opportunity to get any of the toy items you missed earlier in the month!

Even better, our research confirms that villagers will give you different color and style variations of the Christmas Toys than the ones sold in your shop during December. Exchanging gifts with your villagers on Toy Day is a great way to get new variations you might not have already.

Finally, it&#;s worth being aware that the items you gift to villagers on Toy Day as part of the gift exchange can be displayed in their homes, just like regular gifts in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Some players prefer their villager houses to remain uncluttered without extra unwanted items.

If this is a concern for you, we recommend just wrapping up fruit or other miscellaneous items as gifts for villagers instead. They&#;ll gladly accept them and still give you a present back in exchange.

Toy Day with Jingle! - Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Gameplay Part 111

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wiki Guide

The main Toy Day event will take place from am to 5am on 25 December, otherwise known as Christmas Day.

It's important to note that as of the v update, all new holiday events are time locked, meaning you can not time travel to these events before they are actually set to occur.

For more information on Time Traveling to Toy Day, check out our helpful guide below:

How to Prepare for Toy Day

The main thing you need to prepare for regarding Toy Day is to accumulate toys from Nook's Cranny. Starting with the 1st of December, Nook's Cranny will start selling toys on the blue mat to the left of the door. You'll want as many toys as you have villagers; it won't matter who gets what gift.

This will take 10 days if you have the full amount of villagers on your island, since the toys rotate daily. If you're not too fussed about it however, you could just buy 10 of the exact same toy on the same day.

You'll also need Ornaments, which you can shake out of the Spruce Trees that grow in the upper levels of your island. This isn't something you strictly have to do before Toy Day, but it is something you might not be able to do if you've only recently started the game.

For more on all these three subjects, visit the links below:

Toy Day

Toy Day is an event in the Animal Crossing series that takes place on December [nb 5] It is based on Christmas and the holiday season and features Jingle, a reindeer who delivers presents. In games prior to Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Toy Day is the sole source of items from the Jingle Series.

Appearances[edit]

In Animal Crossing[edit]

Tortimer speaking to the player on Toy Day in Animal Crossing.
Jingle introducing himself to the player on December 24 in Animal Crossing.

On December 23, Tortimer appears near the wishing well and gives the player a gift if spoken to. If the player is a boy, they will receive a Miniature Car. If the player is a girl, they will receive a Dolly.

On December 24, from 8 PM to 1 AM, Jingle will be out delivering presents. After the player speaks with Jingle for the first time, he will tell them that they are not on his list of people to give gifts to. If the player leaves the acre, Jingle will reappear in another acre and, if spoken to, will ask the player whether they like "big things" or "foldable things" more. Each time the player leaves the acre and finds Jingle again, he will have more dialog; the next time he asks whether they like "woven things" or "printed things" more, then he asks which the player likes more out of the previous two answers. Afterward, Jingle will give the player a gift, and depending on their answer to the final question, the gift will be different; answering "Big things!" results in a piece of furniture from the Jingle Series, "Foldable things!" results in a Jingle Shirt, "Woven things!" results in a Jingle Carpet, and "Printed things!" results in a Jingle Wall.

If the player speaks to Jingle again, he explains that he only gives one gift to each person; however, if the player changes their clothing, he mistakes them for another person and asks them another question. This time, Jingle asks the same question he asked before giving the first gift. He then gives a gift when spoken to next. After the player receives their tenth total gift, Jingle realizes what they are doing and will not give out any more gifts. This, paired with the fact that two of the options cannot be chosen,[nb 6] means it is not possible to receive every item in one night with a single player. A total of thirteen items can be obtained from Jingle on December the ten furniture items from the Jingle Series, the Jingle Wall, Jingle Floor, and Jingle Shirt.

If the player received at least one item from Jingle on December 24 and played when the clock hit midnight, Jingle will send them a letter reading "Happy Holidays!!! Here's your present, straight from Jingle's workshop!" and containing Balloon Fight.

In City Folk[edit]

Jingle inside a villager's house in City Folk.

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Jingle will give the player gifts from the Jingle Series on Toy Day. He will ask the player some questions which determine what gift he will give. If the player answers "Things you step on!", they will be given the Jingle Carpet. If the player answers "Things you lean on!", they will be given the Jingle Wall. If the player answers "Huge things!", they will be given some other furniture.

The player can change their accessory, headgear, or hairstyle so that Jingle may mistake them for another character, repeating the process. Unlike in Animal Crossing, changing shirts does not trick Jingle.

Sometimes, Jingle can be found in an empty villager's home. This is the only time in the game that the player may enter villager's homes when they are not inside.

In New Leaf[edit]

The player meets Jingle in their town in New Leaf.
The player delivering a present to Mollyin New Leaf.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, from December 1 to 23, each villager in the player's town will give two clues on a desired item for Toy Day. Every villager will mention a certain color in one conversation, while in another conversation, the type of item (carpeting, clothes, electronics, food, furniture, instrument, lamp, toy, umbrella, or wallpaper). These clues are then used to correctly identify and deliver the desired item during Toy Day.

For Toy Day, the player must dress up as Santa, wearing the Santa Hat, Santa Beard, Santa Coat, and Santa Pants, all available from Able Sisters. The Santa Boots, available from Kicks, is optional. Only one of these articles are sold in Able Sisters and in Kicks from December 1 to 23; however, on Toy Day, the entire outfit can be bought at once.

On December 24, the villagers will stop giving hints, but will be seen anticipating for their presents. By 6 PM, Jingle will appear in town, and, once dressed up as Santa, he will ask the player if they could be his partner in delivering presents. He will then give the player a magical sack called the "Santa Bag," which contains all of the villagers' requested items. The requested items are such that no two items will have the same color and type. If the bag has not been returned to Jingle, the bag will break the following day.

Giving the item to a villager requires the Santa outfit be worn and the Santa Bag be worn. Villagers will refuse to go to sleep until they have been given a present. Their reaction will depend on whether the gift given matches their preferred color and type or not. Giving the wrong present will result in the villager expressing their disappointment to the player. Giving the correct present will cause them to express joy about their gift.

After delivering all the items to the villagers, the player can speak to Jingle to receive a Festive Wreath. If the player gets all the presents delivered to the correct villagers, they will be mailed Jingle's Pic.

In New Horizons[edit]

While initially absent from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Toy Day was added in the Free Winter Update.[nb 7] Throughout December, toys are sold at Nook's Cranny and holiday-themed clothing is sold at the Able Sisters.

On December 24, Jingle appears outside Resident Services and, if spoken to, gives the player the DIY recipe for Festive Wrapping Paper and asks them to bring him three of them. Once the player brings the wrapping paper to him, Jingle rewards the player with Toy Day Stockings and gives them the Magic Bag to deliver presents to villagers. The presents can be delivered to villagers when spoken to while the player is wearing the bag, and if the villager has high friendship with the player, they will give them a gift in return. The gift received is always a toy available from Nook's Cranny during December. Once the player delivers half of the gifts and speaks to Jingle, he will reward them with the DIY recipe for a Gift Pile, and once the player delivers all of the gifts, Jingle will give them a Toy Day Sleigh and take the Magic Bag back. Before the player delivers all the presents, the Magic Bag can be returned to Jingle at any time. After the player delivers all the presents and returns the Magic Bag, wrapped gifts can be given to villagers in exchange for toys.

The setting that Toy Day undergoes is dependent on hemisphere settings, since this event takes place in both winter and summer. On Northern Hemisphere islands, it will be snowing all day on Toy Day and the background music will be softer and use jingle bells. Villagers will tell the player to stay warm and comment on the freezing temperatures. On Southern Hemisphere islands, it will be sunny on Toy Day and the music will be more vibrant and use extra percussion. Villagers will remind the player about the heat and to stay in the cool. If the player wears the Santa Hat, Santa Beard, Santa Coat, and Santa Pants, villagers will comment on them looking like Santa.

If the player interacts with the Toy Day Stockings the day after they are hung up, beginning on December 25 and ending on January 1, they will receive Jingle's Photo.

In amiibo Festival[edit]

In the Board Game mode in Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Jingle appears and gives all players 5 Happy Points and 3, Bells.

Animal Crossing New Horizons - Toy Day FULL GUIDE (Tips \u0026 Tricks, New Items \u0026 More)

Toy Day is Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ version of a gift-giving winter holiday, and it features a delightful reindeer named Jingle.

He’ll appear in front of your Resident Services building on Dec. 24 seeking help. When you talk to him, he’ll give you the recipe for Festive Wrapping Paper, and will request that you make him three. The making one Festive Wrapping Paper will require one of each color of Ornament, which you can find by shaking pine trees.

Once you give him the three pieces of Festive Wrapping Paper, he’ll give you a Magic Sack to deliver presents. He’ll also give you Toy Day Stockings, which you can hang on the wall in your home.

With the Magic Sack in hand, equipped like a tool, you can talk to villagers to deliver them gifts. You won’t need to pick a gift based on their personality or anything like that, you’ll just need to talk to them to hand over a goody. Once you deliver gifts to half of your residents, you’ll get a DIY recipe for a Gift Pile. Delivering gifts to every villager will reward you the Toy Day Sleigh furniture item.

Make sure to hang up the Toy Day Stockings in your house. If you do so, you’ll be able to interact with the stockings and obtain Jingle’s Photo on Dec. What a kind gift from the black-nosed reindeer!

Once you’re all done delivering gifts for Jingle, you can also wrap up items and give them to your villagers. In exchange, they’ll give you presents. The presents will be randomly picked from the toys that Nook’s Cranny has been selling during the month of December, so if you missed out on buying any, one of your villagers might be kind enough to give you one for Toy Day.

Jingle’s Photo, the Toy Day Stockings, the Toy Day Sled, and the DIY recipes for the Festive Wrapping Paper and Gift Pile are all the event-exclusive items you can get from Toy Day. If you find yourself wondering where to get some winter- or holiday-themed items you saw elsewhere, you’re probably looking for a recipe you get from Snowboys or balloons during the winter.
