Dr. Peter Bonifatto, DMD
North Hollywood General Dentist
Dr. Bonifatto was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He attended UNLV and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. While in college he worked to help pay for his tuition by tutoring underclassmen in chemistry as well as working in luxury retail and modeling.
He went on to earn his doctorate from UNLV School of Dental Medicine where he graduated among the 20 in his dental class. While in Dental school he was awarded with the E. Steven Smith Student Honorary Dental Society Award and was the president of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Nita Dixit, DDS
North Hollywood General Dentist
Dr. Dixit received her DDS from the University of Southern California in 1991, where she was on the Dean's Honor List, a Phi Beta Kappa Scholar, and a spokesperson for International students. Dr. Dixit has been practicing dentistry for over 33 years and has been with Studio City Dental Group for the past sixteen.
She is a member of American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA) and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society (SFVDS). She has been part of the leadership at CDA for nine years and also served on the Board of the SFVDS as President.
Dr. William Puetz, DDS
North Hollywood General Dentist
Dr. William Puetz proudly joins Studio City Dental Group as a general dentist with a keen eye for details and aesthetics. Dr. Will obtained his degree in dentistry from Creighton University, where he had a robust and diverse portfolio including every discipline of dentistry on patients from all over the region.
Dr. Will received his Masters (M.A. & M.S.) in Biology and Oral Biology at St. Joseph’s and Creighton Universities respectively.
Dr. Nima Ebrahimi, DDS
North Hollywood Periodontist
Dr. Nima Ebrahimi graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2010. He furthered his education with a specialty in periodontics in 2013, and since then, he has been practicing in the specialty of periodontics in the greater Los Angeles and Costa Mesa/Irvine area.
Dr. Ebrahimi has also been an Adjunct Clinical Professor at UCLA School of Dentistry for the Periodontal Department since 2014. He specializes in periodontal treatment and surgeries for gum disease, implants, bone grafts, surgical extractions, gingival soft tissue grafts, and biopsies.
Dr. Morvarid Emamy, DMD
North Hollywood Orthodontist
Dr. Emamy is a Board Certified Orthodontist who provides high quality orthodontic treatment helping her patients look and feel their best.
Dr. Emamy is a graduate of UCLA where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. She received her DMD degree from Arizona School of Dentistry, graduating in the top 5% of her class where she also completed her Orthodontic Residency training.
Dr. Samuel Gegamian, DMD
North Hollywood Endodontist
Dr. Samuel Gegamian is the Endodontist at Studio City Dental Group. Dr. Gegamian graduated from Boston University Dental School in 2004. He also completed a one year advanced educated in general dentistry from the University of the Pacific in 2005.
From 2005 till 2010 Dr. Gegamian practiced general dentistry, but he enjoyed endodontic procedures most of all and was very good at it.
Dr. Jonathan Gidan, DDS
North Hollywood Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Jonathan Gidan is the primary pediatric dentist on staff and performs all phases of pediatric dentistry. This includes operative dentistry, sedation, and minor tooth movement.
Dr. Gidan received his undergraduate degree in genetics from UC Davis and his D.D.S. from New York University. His advanced pediatric training certificate was granted from the University of Southern California and Children's Hospital LA. Dr. Gidan has been practicing pediatric dentistry for 25 years. He has been at SCDG since June 1983.
Dr. Michael Kerendian, DDS
North Hollywood General Dentist
Dr. Kerendian was born and raised in Los Angeles. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego with studies focused in Sociology and Chemistry.
His interests in public health and social inequality led him to the University of Southern California where he received a Masters degree in Global Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine; learning about global disease and solutions for preventing global health crises in third world countries.
Dr. Frederic C. Mandell, DDS
North Hollywood Dentist
Dr. Fred Mandell practices general dentistry with an emphasis on crowns, implants, bridges, fillings, bonding, root canals and dentures with an emphasis on cosmetics.
Dr. Fred graduated from Reseda High School and pursued his undergraduate degree in English at UCLA. After receiving his B.A. in English, Dr. Fred continued his education at UCLA, where he received his D.D.S. In addition to being a part of Studio City Dental Group, Dr. Mandell is also a lecturer at the UCLA School of Dentistry, in the Restorative Department. He enjoys interacting with, and lending his experience and knowledge to the next generation of dentists.
Dr. Nathan Shapiro, DMD
North Hollywood Dentist
Dr. Nathan Shapiro was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1959. He graduated from USC in 1980 with a BS in Biological Sciences. Dr. Shapiro graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1985 with a DMD. He completed his post graduate training in Periodontology at Tufts in 1987.
Dr. Shapiro has been practicing since 1991. He completed Branemark training in implant placement at UCLA in 1998 and has been placing implants since then.
