His case is one of five separate cases filed in recent months by current and former Amazon employees who elaborate on the horrific allegations of racism.

The plaintiffs, all of whom are women of color, allege that they face clear discrimination in the workplace - as nicknamed n - by the manager - and systematic discrimination which they claim is reflected in the company’s low level of suspicion and large numbers of minority representations.

More than a dozen of those sources, all working with diversity, equity, and inclusion roles within Amazon, told Recode that they believe Amazon HR leader Beth Galetti, white, for many years was one of the biggest obstacles in Amazon becoming an equal place to work. workers of all races.

Galetti, the HR leader, is just one person.

Sources have told Recode that he is certainly not the only one responsible for the race problem they believe exists on Amazon. But sources have told Recode that they believe Galetti has failed for years in his career, especially as a member of CEO Jeff Bezos’ leadership team, to adequately encourage and support diversity and inclusion work within Amazon and ensure it was an equal workplace.

“The case rests with Beth,” an HR employee who has worked at Amazon for more than five years, told Recode. “He has been a developer of people-focused programs during these years of over-growth. If not, who is responsible? ”
