Brian Austin Green posts rare photo with all 4 kids on Father's Day

In honor of Father’s Day, proud pop Brian Austin Green celebrated by sharing a photo of the people who make it so special for him — his children.

Though the year-old actor posts occasional pics of the kids, the holiday marked a rare treat for his fans and followers, as all four of his sons were featured by his side in the shot.

The image shows Green and his children sitting together in a pool. His oldest son, Kassius, 19, whom he shares with his former “Beverly Hills, ” co-star, Vanessa Marcil, sits to one side of him, while the three boys he shares with ex-wife Megan Fox, Bodhi, 7, Noah, 8, and Journey, 4, sit on his other side. They’re all smiling in the pic.

“Happy Father’s Day everyone !!!” Green wrote in the caption. He then added, “Thank you baby for taking such an amazing pic for me :))”

While he didn’t name names in the post, the “baby” he’s referring to is his girlfriend, “Dancing With the Stars” pro Sharna Burgess.

She replied, first with heart emoji and then, in a separate response, by writing, “Happy Father’s day baby. You’re amazing.”

And while photos of the whole family are scarce on social media, just last month, Green posted a photo of his three youngest sons enjoying a dip alongside Burgess. He simply captioned that one “pool days.”

Fans raved about both recent photos in the comments, though photos of the kids posted to Instagram aren’t always greeted with praise — at least not from their mom.

Green and Fox parted ways after 10 years of marriage last May and officially divorced in November. But just weeks before finalizing their divorce, Fox lashed out at Green for posting a Halloween photo of him with their youngest son, Journey.

"Why does Journey have to be in this picture?" she wrote in the comments. "It's not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren't in. I had a great Halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media. I know you love your kids. But I don't know why you can't stop using them to posture via social media.”

At the time, Fox’s romance with current partner Machine Gun Kelly was making headlines, and she felt her ex was sending a message with the photo.

“You're so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I'm an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year,” she continued. “You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?"

Green later deleted the photo and uploaded another version, sans Journey.

Although it's not unusual for Brian to spend time with his three youngest children, it appears to be much rarer for him to spend time with Kassius.

His ex Vanessa previously claimed on Instagram in that Kassius had barely seen his father or then-stepmother Megan Fox in years and that his bedroom at their home had been emptied out.

Back in September of last year, she wrote in Instagram comments that her son had been ostracized from Brian's family with Megan Fox for years.

'I celebrate Kassius’ love for his father and remain extremely grateful that Kass was finally invited back into his father’s life and was able to meet his youngest brother for the first time & finally start seeing his other two siblings again,' she wrote. '5 years apart with no explanation is devastating for children. For siblings. My son is also an incredible & protective big brother.'

She also wrote elsewhere that Kassius used to have a bedroom at the home Brian and Megan shared, but she claimed that it was repurposed once he stopped being invited.

Although Brian's ex may not care for his parenting in recent years, his new girlfriend has nothing but praise for him.

The two tied the knot later that month. Although they briefly broke up in , they wound up getting back together before splitting for good in

Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green

Kassius is the son who Brian shares with Vanessa. He was born on March 15, , making him 19 years old as of The teenager&#;s parents were engaged when he was born, but never tied the knot. Unfortunately, they did not have the most amicable co-parenting relationship after their split. In , Vanessa publicly accused Brian, who was with Megan Fox at the time, of cutting Kassius out of their lives after losing a lawsuit to try and gain full custody of him.

&#;Twelve years ago I was served legal papers and then spent 8 years+ defending myself and my son in custody court in response to his father & stepmother trying to get full custody and then asking me to pay them child support,&#; Vanessa claimed. &#;They lost that case and a civil case asking me for $, I never spoke publicly in order to protect my young son from hearing anything negative about his father and from paparazzi that used to follow him and terrify him. I also never asked for child support of any kind and had never tried to take time away from Kass&#; dad seeing him.&#;

She added, &#;In the end, [Brian and Megan] lost all of these court cases. The judge called them all &#;frivolous.&#;&#; After losing the custody case, Brian still had 50 percent custody of Kass, as Vanessa pointed out that she never asked for full custody herself. &#;Five years ago, on their own, they decided to completely cut Kass out of their lives and his younger brothers&#; lives,&#; Vanessa alleged. &#;He has only seen his dad in passing or in public places. Kass has been truly heartbroken since being cut out of his other family&#;s lives with no explanation.&#;

By , though, things seemed to have gotten worked out, as a then year-old Kassius was seen hanging out with his dad at the end of that year. By September , Vanessa confirmed on Instagram that Kassius&#; father was back in his life. &#;I am very proud of the fact that my son loves his dad unconditionally and has chosen to forgive,&#; she admitted. &#;I celebrate Kassius&#; love for his father and remain extremely grateful that Kass was finally invited back into his father&#;s life and was able to meet his youngest brother for the first time & finally start seeing his other two siblings again.&#;

Noah Shannon Green

Noah Green is the first son who Brian shares with Megan. The actress gave birth to him on September 27, , making him nine years old as of mid-September Over the years, Noah has independently developed his own sense of style, and has been photographed out with his parents while wearing dresses and skirts. Despite criticism of the way the child dresses, Brian and Megan have both stood up for their eldest boy.

In , Brian insisted, &#;My son, he&#;s four. I&#;ve heard from some people that they don&#;t agree with him wearing dresses. To them I said, &#;I don&#;t care. He&#;s four and if he wants to wear it, then he wears it.&#; It&#;s his life. They&#;re not my clothes. I feel like at four, at five, there&#;s a time when he should be having fun. He&#;s not harming anyone wearing a dress, so if he wants to wear a dress, good on him.&#;

Megan has also been vocal about how important it is for her to teach her kids&#; confidence, regardless of what bullies at school are saying. In , she recalled asking Noah about how other kids in school reacted to a dress he wore one day, and he replied, &#;All the boys laughed when I came in, but I don&#;t care. I love dresses too much.&#;

Bodhi Ransom Green & Journey River Green

Megan and Brian&#;s second son, Bodhi Ransom Green, was born on Feb. 12, , making him seven years old as of Sept. One year after Bodhi&#;s birth, Megan and Brian briefly broke up. However, by the time the public knew they were back together in , there was already another baby on the way! Journey River Green was born on August 4, , making him five years old as of Sept.

Like their older brother, Journey and Bodhi have both been the victims of online bullying due to the long length of their hair. When Brian posted a photo with all three boys in Sept. , he was hit with comments claiming that his sons &#;looked like girls.&#; Naturally, the actor hit back. &#;The fact is, my boys have and like long hair,&#; he wrote. &#;In my opinion, they are beautiful and will still be and possibly be mistaken for girls if they wore matching short and t-shirt combos and had short hair. Some people like boys and men with long hair. Some people don&#;t. Both opinions are ok.&#; Don&#;t mess with papa bear!

Megan Fox ‘Grateful’ For Ex Brian Austin Green’s Girlfriend Sharna

Brian Austin Green is best known for his role on “Beverly Hills, ,” but he’s also made plenty of headlines for his personal life.

The actor, 48, has been in two high-profile relationships that produced children. Green was in a relationship with “General Hospital” star Vanessa Marcil from to and was married to actress Megan Fox for 10 years before separating from her in late

For his new role on “Dancing with the Stars,” Green is partnered with his new girlfriend, Sharna Burgess. But will his kids be cheering him on from the sidelines?

Green Shares Three Sons With His Ex-Wife Megan Fox

Green had a long relationship and marriage with actress Megan Fox, but they separated in and she filed for divorce a year later.

“They needed to hash out custody and figure everything out,” an insider said of the divorce delay. “They will continue with 50/50 and have a plan for holidays.”

The exes share custody of sons Noah Shannon, 8, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Journey River, 4, per People.

While Green and Fox have both moved on with new partners — Green is dating Burgess, while Fox has been in a  year-long relationship with singer Machine Gun Kelly — the original plan was to “still do family vacations and holidays as a family,” according to Pop Sugar.

Green told the “Hollywood Raw” podcast that the secret to co-parenting with Fox is communication.

“There’s no rule book to it,” the actor told the podcast, per E! News. “There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong. We’re learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can.”

Green Has an Adult Son With His Ex, Vanessa Marcil

In addition to his three younger sons with Fox, Green is father to Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green, who is his son with actress Vanessa Marcil. The longtime couple split up shortly after welcoming Kassius in , and in , Green began dating Fox after meeting her on the set of the ABC sitcom “Hope & Faith,” per Us Weekly.

As Green moved on, he and Marcil made headlines for their rocky custody battle. Marcil also accused her ex of ”completely” cutting their son out of his life over their custody issues, according to Us.

In Marcil responded to a fan on social media and hinted that Green and Fox didn’t have a room for Kassius at their home.

“Kass no longer has a bedroom at their house starting 5 years ago,” she wrote at the time, per Page Six. “He hasn’t ever seen Megan again or met his youngest brother. He’s not allowed to know where they live anymore. Isn’t invited to see them on holidays. Not even Father’s Day. They threw out his entire room and gave away his cat without Kass knowing.”

Marcil also noted that Green gave up his 50 percent custody of Kassius and would only see him “in passing and only alone without his wife and kids” or with a professional photographer present.

But the father and son appear to have a good relationship today. In , Kassius reunited with his dad after a lengthy estrangement by joining him on the set of the “Beverly Hills, ” revival, “BH,” as the cast wrapped production in Vancouver, according to People.

Kassius also documented the trip on Instagram, while Marcil reposted her son’s photo and told fans that Kassius has “always been proud of his dad.”

“We all are grateful that they are coming back together,” Marcil wrote at the time. “Here is to love and forgiveness for all of us on this planet. #LoveWins.”

Brian Austin Green (born Brian Green; July 15, )[1] is an American actor, producer, and former rapper,[2] best known for his portrayal of David Silver on the television series Beverly Hills, (–). Green was also a series regular on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Freddie, Wedding Band, and Anger Management.

Early life[edit]

Green was born in Van Nuys, California, the son of Joyce and George Green.[3] He has some Scottish ancestry.[1] His middle name, "Austin", was added to differentiate himself from another actor when he joined the Screen Actor's Guild as a child.[4] Green grew up in North Hollywood and attended North Hollywood High School, after attending the Hamilton High School Academy of Music.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

Prior to his role on Beverly Hills, , Green had a recurring role for three seasons (–) on the CBS primetime soap opera Knots Landing, playing the role of Brian Cunningham, the son of Abby Cunningham Ewing (Donna Mills). He reprised his role in the television miniseriesKnots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac (). He appeared in the pilot of Good Morning, Miss Bliss as Adam Montcrief.

Producer Aaron Spelling has stated that Green was cast in the role of David Silver much because he felt that Green's own personality resembled the personality they wanted that character to have. The character was often scripted to reflect Green's own interests. As the series progressed, the character began to experiment with hip hop music and DJing, as did Green himself.[5] In , Green dropped "Austin" from his professional name and attempted a career as a rapper, releasing one album, titled One Stop Carnival, produced by The Pharcyde member Slimkid3.[5] In the s, he was a guest star on Growing Pains, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Melrose Place, Saved by the Bell: The College Years, Fantastic Four, Mad TV, Biker Mice from Mars, Malibu Shores, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac.

Green appeared briefly in the multiple award-winning Showtime drama series Resurrection Blvd. as Luke Bonner (–), a police officer attending law school. He had a cameo on Hope & Faith where he met Megan Fox; they started dating in He appeared on the ABC sitcom Freddie () starring Freddie Prinze, Jr. He was a guest star on The Twilight Zone, Las Vegas and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He also appeared alongside former cast member Ian Ziering in the Tony Scott film Domino as parodies of themselves. Green appeared in a horrorshort called Grace, which was set around a miscarriage gone bad, and features Gilmore Girls actress Liza Weil as his love interest. It premiered at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors on June 2, , and was reworked as a full-length feature film (). He was a guest star on George Lopez in as Chris.

Green played Derek Reese in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a Resistance fighter sent to the past by the future John Connor. The character is the older brother of Kyle Reese (John Connor's father) and paternal uncle of John. Green was a recurring character in season 1 but became a regular at the start of season 2,[6] following a positive response from critics and fans.[7][8] His character is killed by a Terminator in the penultimate episode, but another Derek from an alternate timeline is introduced in the series finale and would have remained on the show if it had been renewed for a third season.[9]

Green guest-starred on the season 7 finale of CSI: Miami as Anthony Green.[10] Green was cast in The CW's new drama pilot Body Politic, along with Minka Kelly, Gabrielle Union, and Jason Dohring.[11] The series was not picked up for fall Green said in an interview that he was co-producing a big screen adaptation of Fathom, starring Megan Fox.[9] On September 27, , Green made a guest appearance on the television series Saturday Night Live in a skit involving girlfriend (now wife) Megan Fox. In the skit Green played a version of the Transformer Bumblebee in which Bumblebee is merely a man wearing a Bumblebee mask. Green was cast as Clay in One Tree Hill's seventh season. Green then left the cast because of scheduling conflicts and the role was then given to Robert Buckley; Green instead starred as superhero Callan in the Patrick Durham-directed movie Cross, which was released to DVD and download in May

In , Green was cast as John Corben/Metallo in Smallville.[12] He appeared in three episodes in the ninth season between and , the first being the ninth-season premiere episode "Savior". The character is a war-time reporter, similar to the Silver Age John Corben.[12] As a back-story for this version, he had been recently stationed in Afghanistan. When he meets Lois Lane, he expresses his distaste for vigilantes, particularly "the Blur" (Clark Kent) due to the hero saving a prison bus only for a convict to escape and slay his sister. After being struck in a hit and run, Corben awoke to find himself possessing cybernetic enhancements - including an artificial heart powered by kryptonite. After kidnapping Lois Lane as bait, the villain was confronted and defeated by Clark Kent. It was subsequently revealed in the episode “Conspiracy” that Zod's disciples were behind Corben's revival. Corben is "reactivated" in the episode "Upgrade" after Luthorcorp scientists are able to correct the initial design flaw in the Kryptonite heart that causes an adrenal overload and resulting psychosis. Though Green had expressed willingness to reprise the character in the 10th and final season,[13] the character was portrayed by a body double for his final appearance in the episode "Prophecy" - presumably due to budget and the cameo nature of the appearance. Green's likeness would be used however for the character's appearance in the Season Eleven comic continuation.[14]

In , Green appeared in a multi-episode story arc on the ABC series Desperate Housewives. He plays Keith Watson, Bree's contractor and lover for the first part of the season.[15][16]

In , Green had a guest appearance in the sitcom Anger Management playing Sean, the boyfriend of Charlie's ex-wife, Jen in the first episode of the show. This episode broke a ratings record with &#;million viewers on its series debut night and ranks as the most-watched sitcom premiere in cable history.[17][18] He returned to the show in the episode "Charlie Breaks Up With Kate" when Jen gets back with Sean. In June , Green was promoted to series regular.[19]

Green was a guest star in the finale episode of the second season of Happy Endings. He played Chris, who meets dateless Penny via Skype. He returned in the first episode of the third season "Cazsh Dummy Spillionaires". In the same year, Green starred in the television series Wedding Band, about a group of friends who perform at weddings. In the TBS comedy, Green plays Tommy, the frontman for Mother of the Bride, a group of four buddies who aren't ready to give up the dream of being rock stars.[20] On January 22, , TBS cancelled the series after one season because of low ratings.[21]

In , Green competed on season four of The Masked Singer as "Giraffe"; he was eliminated in his second appearance. Robin Thicke joined him in his encore of Kool and the Gang's "Get Down on It".[22] He also served as a panelist on its spin-off series The Masked Dancer.
