Pvp gear upgrade shadowlands

Pvp gear upgrade shadowlands DEFAULT
shadowlands-season-2-pvp-gear

You can upgrade your PvP Gear in Season 2 of Shadowlands in the same exact way as you could before the Chains of Domination update. That said, Blizzard made a simple yet impactful change to how item level works on PvP gear, so if you were using PvP to gear up for PvE you may want to look elsewhere for your loot.

Upgrade your Shadowlands Season 2 PvP gear with Honor or Conquest; item level is boosted during PvP.

If you want to upgrade your Season 2 PvP gear in Shadowlands Patch 9.1 you’ll need to farm either Honor or Conquest, depending on whether you play Unrated or Rated PvP. Honor can be earned from Unrated PvP, to include battlegrounds and arenas, and Conquest is earned from Rated PvP, which requires a premade party to queue. Conquest and Honor can be found as rewards from quests, but you’ll want to participate in PvP to efficiently earn either resource.

Honor is used to buy Honor PvP gear, and to upgrade it. The same goes for Conquest; the only difference is there is a cap on how much Conquest you can earn each week, though it does increase as the season progresses. Zo’sorg and the other PvP vendors (to include the upgrade NPC) are still located in The Enclave within Oribos. Before I list the available upgrade ranks and item levels for both Honor and Conquest PvP gear, I need to first share the change coming to PvP gear item level in Shadowlands Patch 9.1.

PvP gear will have a higher item level inside of PvP. Whenever you partake in arenas, battlegrounds, or War Mode your Season 2 PvP gear will see a +13 boost to its item level (to include an appropriate increase in stats). Outside PvP it will fall back down to its base item level. Blizzard’s goal here was simple: they wanted to make is so PvE players didn’t feel forced to play PvP to grab gear. In theory, this also benefits players who only play PvP since their hard earned gear will always be better in PvP, but if you enjoy both you’re back to farming two separate sets of gear.

Without further ado, here are the different ranks and item levels for both Honor and Conquest PvP gear in Season 2 of Shadowlands:

Conquest

There are have 2 PvP vendors, the Assessor of Conflict (Purveyoe Zo´kuul) and the Master of Conflict (Zo´sorg) and an item upgrader, Facilitator of Conflict (Agressor Zo´dash).

These guys are located in the Enclave in Oribos.

These vendors are selling Weapons, gear, legendary powers and Soulbind Conduits.

The Assessor of Conflict is selling Unrated Gear and legendary power (for legendary gear crafting).

The Master of Conflict is selling Rated Gear and Soulbind Conduits.

The Facilitator of Conflict will help you upgrade PvP items.

Speicifc with PvP gear

In Shadowlands, there will be 2 things that will destinguish PvP gear from PvE:

  • Extra Versatility
  • PvP specific Set bonus

No matter if it is Honor gear of conquest gear.

Versatility

The PvP gear will always have versatility together with one more secondary stat:
Vers and Haste
or, Vers and Crit
or, Vers and Mastery

Set Bonus

There is also a set bonus from PvP gear.

This set bonus is given when having 2 sets of PvP trinkets.

Having two pvp trinkets will give you the bonus:

"The dmg and healing benefit of Versatility is increased by 20% when in Arenas, Battlegrounds, and War Mode."

No matter if it is Honor gear or Conquest gear, the set bonus is the same.

The Currency

In Shadowlands, you will have two currencies for buying PvP gear, those are Shadowlands PvP Honor and Conquest.

You will use Shadowlands PvP Honor for the unrated PvP vendor, also called by me, the Honor vendor.

You will also use Shadowlands PvP Honor for upgrading honor gear (Aspirant) and Conquest gear (Gladiator).

You will use Conquest for the Rated PvP vendor, also called by me, the Conquest vendor.

Unrated Gear (ilvl 158)

PvP gear starts at Rank 1 (Item Level 158) and can be upgraded up to Rank 7 (Item Level 197) with Honor.

The upper limit of this kind of upgrade is determined by your Renown level, and players can get maximum up to 15,000 Honor.

  • Renown Level 7 is required to upgrade Unrated PvP equipment to Rank 5.
  • Renown Level 22 is required to upgrade Unrated PvP equipment to Rank 7.

Talk to Aggressor Zo’dash and drag an item to the window to upgrade it. There, you will see stats of the next rank and the upgrade cost.

Conquest Gear

There will be a weekly cap of Conquest points which can be used to buy “Unranked” Gladiator gear from Zo’sorg at a starting item level of 200. You can then upgrade this gear using Honor as you increase in PvP Rank.

  • Unranked (from vendor); Item level 200
  • Combatant (1400-1599): Item Level 207
  • Challenger (1600-1799) :Item Level 213
  • Rival (1800-2099): Item Level 220
  • Duelist (2100+): Item level 226
  • Elite (2400+): Item level 233 *Weapon, Shield, Offhand ONLY

If you fall below the minimum cutoffs (1400, 1600, 1800, 2100, and 2400 respectively) you have a 30 point leniency period where you remain in the same bracket.

Conquest Gear Upgrades

Upgrading Conquest gear is extremely costly, requiring players to farm a significant amount of honor if they intend to upgrade all of their gear to ilvl 226 (assuming they are 2100+ in Rated PvP).

Weapons, Shields and Off-hands may be upgraded to Rank 6 Elite (iLevel 233). Gear (armor and jewelry) can only be upgraded through this system to Rank 5 Duelist (iLevel 226). You can get elite (iLevel 233) PvP gear from the Great Vault.

PvP Rewards

If you complete the Sinful Gladiator: Shadowlands Season 1 achievement and become Gladiator in Shadowlands PvP Season 1, you will receive the Sinful Gladiator’s Soul Eater mount. Gladiator mounts have become account-wide in the pre-patch.

Weekly Vault

The Weekly Vault is the weekly box system added in Shadowlands. Completing Raid, M+, and PvP activities (earning Honor from rated PvP) will grant you roll chances allowing you to select from a greater variety of options every week when you pick a single reward.

Earning Honor only from rated PvP activities can gain you up to three extra chances at 1250 Honor, 2500 Honor, and 6250 Honor.

Best way to farm Honor

Farming honor week after week is not the easiest of the aspects of the game, so the best way to farm Honor is to purchase a boost on Overgear. You’ll get as much honor as you need in shortest time period.

Best way to farm Conquest

Conquest Cap is also a thing you should do every week in order to keep competitive among other players, so it’s also not the easiest weekly cap, especially if you are not the PvP player. So we also recommend to purchase it on our website.

Shadowlands upgrade pvp gear

Upgrading unranked PvP gear requires specific Renown levels with your Covenant.

  • Rank 1-3 has no Renown requirement.
  • Rank 4-5 requires minimum Renown 43.
  • Rank 6-7 requires minimum Renown 59.

In addition, upgrading Conquest gear requires you to have reached a specific PvP rank and currently have a specific rating. If you earn the achievement for reaching a rating but then you drop your rating, you won't be able to upgrade.

Note: On the week of July 7, Season 2 Rated PvP gear upgrades were initially capped at Rival (base item level 239) until Mythic Difficulty Sanctum of Domination became available.

Check out the Shadowlands PVP guide on Wowhead for a list of the upgrades and costs and the patch 9.1 PvP gear updates guide for more information.

World of Warcraft Shadowlands - How to Earn and Upgrade Your PvP Gear

Earn PvP gear in Shadowlands by spending honor or conquest points and upgrade it with honor.

PvP gear in Shadowlands can be purchased from vendors in Oribos, which are located at the western end of town in the Enclave. PvP gear is silly and easy to earn - take part in PvP to earn Honor or Conquest points, then spend those points at the vendor to buy the gear you want. There is a catch in the PvP Conquest gear, however.

Conquest Points mostly come from rated PvP. The daily skirmishes and brawls in the arena provide a total of 30 points, but that only adds up to a total of 210 conquest points for the week. That's less than half of the weekly cap of 550. Speaking of the cap, it will increase each week by another 550, but the Conquest Points you have on hand will still count towards the cap. So if you have 550 in the first week and don't spend them, you can only earn another 550 in week 2.

Honor Points can be cultivated without limit, so you can acquire Honor PvP gear at any rate that suits you. Keeping Honor uncapped has another benefit: it is used to improve both Conquest PvP Equipment honor. So, once you've earned your Conquest Gear, you can use the Ordinary Ancient Honor to increase its item level. This not only creates a more robust endgame and leveling path for PvP players, but it ensures that normal PvP modes remain populated.

Upon launch, Honor PvP gear begins at item level 158 (Rank 1) and Conquest at 200 (Unranked). Honor Gear caps at Rank 5, but Conquest Gear can technically be upgraded without limits starting in Season 1, Week 2. The amount of Honor needed to upgrade PvP PvP gear and Conquest increases with each rank, so while Conquest gear may not have a higher. limit, the amount of Honor needed will eventually act as a soft wall.

With the reintroduction of PvP Gear Vendors, it's easier than ever to be a dedicated PvP player and keep up with the PvE crowd. Hell, this is an equally viable way to catch up on gear if you're a raider or a Mythic Dungeon, as earning and upgrading PvP gear is an almost braindead process.

Remember, you need a party to queue in Ranked PvP, but that's what the party finder and communities are for. If that's a little too much, you can always clear your daily skirmish and brawl for certain conquest points. Otherwise, new players or alts can access PvP in Normal and Mythic Raid Dungeons when regular dungeons prove too stingy.
