I have literally never had bad service at this branch as long as I have been a member. Thank you so much!

Recently underwent an almost complete personnel change and I was very nervous that the quality of service would change. I have been pleasantly surprised as all of the new staff are as personable and helpful as their predecessors!

Love you guys! Thanks!

Unable to reach an actual customer service person. Only so-called "Call Center" people are available via phone. This is totally unacceptable. I've been a member since the 1980's. Today I am unable to access my accounts. The call center employee is only able to tell me I need a 'secure access code' but cannot give me any reason for this sudden change. Account was accessible two days ago. Something has happened to my account and no one at the call center is able to provide help. Denali's system is denying me access to my account. BAD BAD BAD. If I could give you less than one star, I would.

So I went to your location at Pentland parkway today. I got in line at 6:50 and there we two tellers both helping customers and I waited ten minutes and when it was my turn to be helped they shut the gate IN MY FACE! He was very rude and WOULD NOT help me even though I been standing there for 10 minutes so I couldn't get any money out to get gas for my car food for my kids or anything else I needed because he wanted to get home and get out of work early and wouldn't spend 5 minutes to help me I am very disappointed with the service I received well with the treatment I received because I wasn't even helped! this incident alone almost makes me want to switch Banks because this has never happened to me anywhere else with any other bank or any other service in my life I'm very disappointed really in disbelief that anyone would treat a customer like that after they've been standing there for 10 minutes.

I don't know for a fact that this is the branch I have been accessing but I have been dialing the 800-764-1123 number. If this message should be forwarded, please do that for me. Thanks.
In late July, I sent in a Change of Beneficiary form since my husband and I wanted our accounts retitled to a combined trust that was restated in September 2015 and, prompted by our attorney, I asked for a letter confirming that the account names had all been updated with the new trust name. Since then, I have followed up this request with several subsequent requests which have resulted in extended conversations with some of the personnel but what seemed like a very simple request has resulted in nothing but assurances and no actions. The latest I've been told is that a diary memo will have to be activated with the full trust name, and our accounts can be set up as joint accounts, but that we will have to sign new signature cards. So far, three weeks later, we have still not received any paperwork to sign and return. My husband and I are seriously considering canceling our accounts at DFCU (which were opened in 1975) if we don't receive a letter giving the account-title confirmations we are requesting. It is very important that the trust name and date be exactly as we have requested. We are extremely frustrated and disappointed at the treatment we have received. Over the 40 years we have been members of DFCU we have not required much attention in order to maintain our accounts so our low rating of DFCU is because we haven't required much attention, and because of the poor service we are getting now.

Worst Experience. Use another bank or credit union. No communication. My car was totaled and insurance was working with Denali FCU. The ending...Denali FCU has sent me to collections with not one clear explanation lots of smoke and mirrors.

I have had a terrible time trying to get to my savings account. It has been some time since I have even looked at my account. It has auto deposits & auto payments to certain accounts. I just received a NSF notice on line & am trying to get to my account to be able to figure out what has happened. This has never happened & I am very up set. I do not make a habit of NSFs on any of my accounts. Thank you for you attention.

"It's particularly important to us to offer more than 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide. Denali Alaskan has thousands of members located throughout the Lower 48 and Alaskans also travel often throughout the rest of the nation. Worst experience yet, the teller no joke was more useless than a poop flavored lollipop, wasted 20 minutes of my time, acting and talking like that had no idea who or what they were even doing, it's just another branch that has lost my service.

  • November 2018

Worst customer service and worst place to do business with. I paid for my loan in Cash . So the Branch told me I have to wait couple hours before I could come here and pick up the title .

Denali Credit Union Improves Disaster Recovery Strategy with Dell Compellent and Silver Peak

SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 3, 2012 —A disaster recovery (DR) plan is always important, but for a financial institution in a location known for earthquakes and where more than 18 feet of snow can bury a whole town, a strong DR and business continuity strategy is a necessity.

For Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union (Denali) to expand its online banking services, enhancing its business continuity plan was a requirement. However, Denali’s wide area network (WAN) was insufficient for moving large amounts of data between the company’s main site in Anchorage and the DR facility in Fairbanks. It was taking over 11 hours to replicate more than 50 gigabytes (GB) of data over the WAN —far too long for Denali’s IT team.  Adding additional DR features with up to ten-times the data of the existing system would be impossible.

Denali’s IT team addressed part of the problem by storing the online banking system on Dell Compellent arrays, but a solution was needed to overcome the WAN bottleneck. Dell recommended Silver Peak, Dell’s preferred partner for WAN optimization. The Silver Peak software deployed in minutes and automatically compensated for network limitations, accelerating the movement of large amounts of data over long distances.  The IT staff saw Dell Compellent replication bandwidth reduced by over 66 percent, with a 10-fold increase in replication throughput.

“Silver Peak’s software is really simple to setup,” says Travis Rupp, associate vice president of project management in IT for Denali. “We met our recovery point objectives (RPO) without doing any special tweaks to the network or data sets, which really makes Silver Peak stand out from the competition.”

Denali’s primary challenge involved replicating the company’s core banking application. With over 50 GB of data, it was consuming most of the company’s three megabit-per-second (Mbps) WAN and taking over 11 hours—three hours too long for Rupp and his team. There was no way they could also replicate several hundred gigabytes of data for the online banking system and still meet an eight hour RPO.

For Denali, buying additional bandwidth was not a viable option. Bandwidth pricing in Anchorage is high in part because of the limited competition, says Rupp who was already spending $350 a month on a three Mbps connection.  In fact, Anchorage has the highest bandwidth prices of any US city at $65.50 per Mbps, according to Broadband.com .

Despite the efficiencies of Dell’s replication solution, Denali Alaskan was still missing its RPO due to network conditions. Rupp and team knew they needed an affordable, easily deployable solution to solve these network challenges, and thus shorten replication times. With Dell’s recommendation, Rupp and team chose to test Silver Peak, Dell’s preferred partner for WAN optimization.

“Ease of deployment really made Silver Peak stand out from Riverbed and the competition,” adds Rupp. “For Silver Peak’s software to be up and running the day after we spoke with [the Silver Peak team], with quantitative data to prove the solution worked, was one of the biggest selling points.”
