Sword Art Online Announces Premiere of Final 'War of Underworld' Dub

Sword Art Online has an impressive history behind it that continues to draw in fans to this day. As one of the most popular isekai series to ever do it, Sword Art Online holds a special place in the hearts of millions. Earlier this year, fans watched as the series brought its final War of Underworld arc to a close. Now, the arc is about to receive its dub, and fans know when they can expect the season to make its Toonami debut.

The announcement came on the heels of a trailer released by Toonami. The late-night block wanted to surprise fans with the big news; Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld will debut its final season's dub starting in early November.

To be exact, the premiere date is locked for November 7. There is no word on the exact time this first episode will debut, but fans can expect it to be fairly late. Toonami comes on after Adult Swim wraps its primetime titles, so Sword Art Online will certainly air closer to midnight.

If you want to catch up with the anime before this dub debut, you can catch it on Crunchyroll as well as other streaming platforms. Digital versions of Sword Art Online are also available through online retailers such as iTunes and Amazon. Sword Art Online was originally created by Reki Kawahara with illustrations provided by abec for Dengeki Bunko line in The series follows a boy named Kirito after he and thousands of gamers get trapped in a virtual reality video game. The gamers must band together to defeat the game's final level to escape, but Kirito and his guild learn there is more behind this tech than they were originally told

Sword Art Online Alicization: War of Underworld - ANIMA [FULL ENGLISH OPENING by Shawn Christmas]
Sword Art Online Season 4

Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld has finally come to an end. Want to have your comic collection rank higher? If so, then check out these comic book resources.

But is it the end of Sword Art Online anime series?

Or will there be Sword Art Online season 4?

And what about the English dub version of Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld?

I know…

Questions are too many & you’re looking for the right answers.

Well, you’ve come to the right place.

I’ll tell you when you can expect this most anticipated anime show.

So, let’s get started –

Sword Art Online Season 4 Release Date

Before going ahead, I would like to clear a common misconception.

Many think of Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld as season 4.

But…

That’s not correct.

You see, Sword Art Online season 3 was divided into 2 parts –

The first part of the Alicization saga had 24 episodes,

And the 2nd part which concluded on September 19th had 23 episodes.

Now, that all the doubts are cleared, the biggest question that remains unanswered is –

When we’ll see Sword Art Online Season 4?

Well, not before

I know that’s way too long but there’s nothing anyone can do about this.

Earlier, fans had to wait for nearly 4 years for the Sword Art Online Season 3 premiere.

After this long hiatus, when the anime returned, I learned one imperative lesson from it –

Good things come to those who wait.

And the 4 years of the wait was actually worth it.

Alicization arc in both the parts of Sword Art Online Season 3 was amazing.

Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld English Dub Release

The Japanese version of Sword Art Online Season 3 part 1 was concluded in March

And within the next months, we had its English dubbed version.

Sword Art Online: Alicization War of the Underworld (or the 2nd part) concluded the Japanese version on September

So, if you’re keen on watching the English dubbed version, I would say –

Wait for months & you’ll get it by the end of .

Actual Reason Behind Upcoming Sword Art Online Season 4 Long Hiatus?

In the anime world, Sword Art Online is considered as one of the most followed anime shows.

And it’s widely popular because of its –

  • Unique concept.
  • Appealing Story.
  • The Mass Appeal.

Unlike other anime shows, you never see any kind of drag in story or relationships.

Instead, because of its sci-fi genre, most of the time its story arcs are related to video games.

So, it’s natural for viewers to enjoy the anime as they watch it.

Now, coming to the reason behind the long hiatus that’s ahead of us –

By the end of Sword Art Online Season 3 Part 2, Alicization arc was concluded.

At the time of Sword Art Online renewal, a new story arc was announced.

And for this, the writer and illustrator, Reki Kawahara will need at least 2 years to come up with a compelling story arc.

Once the new story is written, it’s publication will take some additional time.

So, all in all, you can expect Sword Art Online Season 4 to air sometime in .

Hold on, don’t get disappointed that easily.

There’s a ray of hope.

If somehow, the writer publishes 10 volumes before , you may expect Sword Art Online Season 4 to release a bit earlier.

And as for the cast, actors for Sword Art Online Season 4 will be –

  • Nobunaga Shimazaki (Eugeo),
  • Ai Kayano (Alice Schuberg).
  • Yoshitugu Matsouka (Kirito),
  • Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna),
