Third Situation

When you see signs of weak engine, engine leaking, White smoke from exhaust, loss of acceleration, engine strange noises then what to do?

Not all occurred situation can be fix from just changing oil type with oil additives, sometime you need to replace the faulty part from mechanic, however before you change the faulty part, you can do few experiment to make your engine life a bit longer by enhancing engine performance with oil additives and oil type combination.

IF you feel that your engine oil is burning after 2000 or 3000 miles which apparently not be detected from engine bay areas, it means engine oil is leaking internally from exhaust as a white smoke or you feel strange noise coming from engine.

Owner Maintenance

Do not perform maintenance work if you lack sufficient knowledge and experience or the proper tools and equipment to do the work. Have maintenance work done by a qualified technician:

Performing maintenance work on a vehicle is dangerous if not done properly. You can be seriously injured while performing some maintenance procedures.

If you must run the engine while working under the hood, make certain that you remove all jewelry (especially rings, bracelets, watches, and necklaces) and all neckties, scarves, and similar loose clothing before getting near the engine or cooling fan which may turn on unexpectedly:

Working under the hood with the engine running is dangerous. It becomes even more dangerous when you wear jewelry or loose clothing.

Either can become entangled in moving parts and result in injury.

Pull over to a safe location, then switch the ignition off and make sure the fan is not running before attempting to work near the cooling fan:

Working near the cooling fan when it is running is dangerous. The fan could continue running indefinitely even if the engine has stopped and the engine compartment temperature is high. You could be hit by the fan and seriously injured.

Do not leave items in the engine compartment:

After you have finished checking or doing servicing in the engine compartment, do not forget and leave items such as tools or rags in the engine compartment.

Tools or other items left in the engine compartment could cause engine damage or a fire leading to an unexpected accident.

WHAT KIND OF OIL DOES MAZDA RECOMMEND USING?

Trying to figure out what type of oil to use in a car can be pretty confusing, especially since it seems as though every person has a different opinion when it comes to what is best. There are conventional oil, synthetic blends, and full synthetic oil available, but what kind of oil does Mazda recommend using for its vehicles?

RECOMMEND USING A SYNTHETIC OIL?

Mazda recommends using a SAE 0W-20 oil — which is available as a full synthetic or as a blend. But can you get away with using a 5W-20 conventional oil? Yes and no. It won’t void your warranty or be bad for your car, necessarily. However, using the recommended oil will get you the best performance, especially if you’re somewhere with extreme heat or cold climates — hello Wisconsin. The Mazda Engine Oil Maintenance Monitor in new Mazda vehicles also uses 0W-20 oil for its calculations, so if you want to have it accurately measure the percentage of your oil life remaining, then it is best to stick with the recommended one.

HOW LONG CAN A MAZDA GO BETWEEN OIL CHANGES?

While we don’t recommend putting off an oil change as long as possible, Mazda recommends that at the very least you change your oil at least once a year or every 10,000 miles — but only under very specific circumstances. You would need to avoid extended periods of idling or low-speed driving, and you would have to be driving in conditions without very much dust. Otherwise, if you’re driving in pretty regular conditions, it is recommended to change around every 4-6 months or 5,000 to 7,500 miles — depending on your model.

SHOULD YOU PERFORM AN OIL CHANGE?

Oil changes can be complicated on modern cars. There are many panels that you have to remove, the area under a car is tight and difficult to work in, finding a jacking point can be difficult, and you may even require special tools. However, there is some maintenance that you can easily perform at home.

WHAT DOES THE RED OIL LIGHT MEAN?

The red oil light on your car’s dash isn’t a friendly reminder. In fact, it is an indicator of a serious problem. You can learn all about what it means and what you should do, but in almost all cases you should get to a service center as soon as possible.
