Many if not most quality gear shops will refuse to install customer supplied parts. The shops that will install customer supplied parts typically won't warranty the installation labor if the parts fail for any reason. For this reason it is more important to pick a reputable shop than a particular brand or gear supplier and wise to let the gear installer supply the parts. If a particular installer favors one brand over another go with the installer's advice rather than Internet advice - there is nothing magic about Revolution or any other major brand - all will provide good service.

Harmonics or vibrations after a re-gear seem to be isolated to TJ's/LJ's with the 241OR transfer case after re-gearing to 5.13 and 5.38 ratios, however there are some reports of issues in jeeps with the 231 transfer case and/or with 4.88 gears. The current working theory is that the angle of the double cardan joint in front driveshaft in combination with the driveshaft length can create a harmonic at highway speeds due to the increased driveshaft rpms after the gear change. The harmonic isn't noticeable with taller ratios because the front driveshaft doesn't spin fast enough until one is at very high speed, typically faster than anyone can drive their jeep. My harmonic comes on at about 67-68 mph, and was reduced substantially by adjusting the front pinion angle so that the front driveshaft and pinion angles matched exactly. It is barely noticeable now. There was no vibration or harmonic when my jeep had 4.88 gears.
