The Wigwam Indian River Restaurant review, hours, menu info. The Wigwam is located off Onaway Rd in Indian River Michigan. Its a casual hang out with a large full bar and with plenty of seating all the way around it, taking up the central part of the restaurant.
The Wigwam Indian River Restaurant
We went for lunch and enjoyed some burgers and a game of pool. The menu at The Wigwam includes bar classics such as baskets of chicken tenders, fish, or shrimp, pizza, burgers (including the infamous Olive Burger), and sandwiches such as oven-baked grinders and a fried chicken sandwich, etc. The food is good and very fairly priced, and the service is friendly. If you appreciate a large, wide-open restaurant with plenty of room to stretch your legs, youll love going to the Wigwam.
Happy Hour at The Wigwam is from 12p-2p and 5p-7p. off all drinks and $2 off pitchers of beer, seven days a week.

The Wigwam is a very comfortable and cozy hangout with good food and great service. We enjoyed the food and appreciated the popcorn bar, pool table, and great service dont know how she managed the entire bar and restaurant by herself! We also would have loved to dine outdoors if the weather was warmer. There is a great outdoor dining area set up in the back of the restaurant with a patio and a nice yard with horse shoes for playing.
The Wigwam has free wi-fi, many TVs to watch all the sports games, and an atmosphere that is suitable for couples, families, and groups.

Inside, a small foyer-type area houses a foosball table ringed with photos of what have to be locals and regulars ranging across what looks like a handful of decades. Decades or not, the local vibe is readily apparent throughout the space, inherent in a dive bar catering to the boats that float by and a town as small as Indian River, Michigan. Local street signs line the wall and what feels like reclaimed decorations and furniture from local businesses gone by can be found throughout The Inn Between.
The layout spills out into the dive bar’s main room dominated by small bar under what looks like the roof of a tiki hut sliced off and brought inside. Because The Inn Between doubles as a restaurant, a handful of tables ring the bar and all manner of nautical-like items can be found along the walls. Quirk of the bar’s layout is the river-level kitchen, one floor below the main seating area, a fun bit of hell for the servers ferrying food up and dishes down the stairs.
Tiki-themed objects dot the bar area, from parrots caught in nets to…sombreros (?) and the windows behind the bar look out onto the Indian River itself. Outside, a small patio flanks the main interior floor, but the real draw is the terraced seating a level below where picnic tables dot an extended outdoor grass & patio space. Wooden slats line the river itself, making for a surprisingly picturesque view of a slow moving river winding among residences further upstream.
An outdoor tiki bar, sadly not in use on my visit, supports the patio seating area, nestled underneath the wooden staircase that descends from the dive bar’s street-level deck. A large sign proclaiming “The Best Pizza in the North” can be seen bolted to The Inn Between’s exterior wall, a kind of Midwestern siren song to the boats ambling by.
The Inn Between is a bit of a mini complex, a multi-use, multi-season dive bar that shifts from purpose to purpose, with the square footage and amenities to cover a range of needs. From outdoor boat dock to lazy summer drinking spot to a splash of tiki on a cold night, The Inn Between is all things to the small town locals and season tourists that pass through Indian River.

Well, it's not really on Mullett Lake, it's across the street. But, they do have a dock for boaters to park at, so they are on the lake. Whatever, they have a nice view of the lake from the patio & elevated deck. The service (Jack) was excellent, the food was good, as was the beer selection. We had a great evening after four hours of paddling the Sturgeon. We'll definitely be back when in the area.Hello! Thanks for stopping in! Jack will be happy to hear how pleased you were. We'll see you on the next visit!

My wife, brother, nephew and I stopped in yesterday morning. Even though we came in after a very large group was seated outdoors, our service was quick efficient and friendly. I ordered the blueberry French toast, (excellent) my wife had the mini breakfast. All offers were served far and hot. I would recommend Cafe Noka to anyone in the area for a good meal.

We stopped here this summer on the boat for dinner. We waited for our food for over an hour while we watched everyone around us get served. We ordered nachos and burgers. Our waitress was really sweet she kept on checking on us and apologizing. I saw one of the cooks walking out and another girl following him trying to calm him down. When we did get our food it was just ok.

Although this is a popular bar, it has become a favorite spot for summer visitors to dine. The pizza is excellent and fairly priced. Burgers are large, cooked to order and served on a nice bun.

Since it was our first time visiting Indian River we had no idea where to go to enjoy a relaxing meal after a crazy experience on the Sturgeon river. The atmosphere of the grill was excellent. We chose to sit outside on the balcony looking over the 18th hole of the golf course. It was a nice evening so it was perfect . The service was excellent and the food was great. We enjoyed our dining experience and would definitely go back if we visited Indian River again.

From Bill's Saloon in the 30's, to The Brown Trout and River Rock, comes Michael's Tavern & Steakhouse after a lengthy and carefully planned renovation. The new owners have take great care in revamping and redecorating the great old building and have created a comfortable classy atmosphere. From top down the staff is very attentive, friendly and well-trained. Most importantly the food has been excellent--matched by only a very few restaurants here in northern Michigan. The food is expensive, but you get what you pay for. It's a pleasure to have a great meal and to spend some time relaxing in a steakhouse of this caliber.

Indian River junior football team has been invited to Canton, Ohio to play against other teams, I believe they the only team in Michigan that's been invited, and they're doing fund raise to help with the cost. Christopher's has offer to donate money to the team from every burger sold this month. Needless to say there were 3 of us and we all had burgers and for the price you get a half pound burger and they're good. I had other menu items there in the past and they're all good.

We live locally and frequent Wilson's for breakfast and lunch. Their pies are fantastic and the food is consistent and tasty. The staff is friendly and the restaurant has comfortable atmosphere. They charge a credit/debit card fee, so if that bothers you, bring cash.
