UT Health Tyler - Emergency Center at South Broadway

UT Health East Texas on South Broadway in Tyler houses a 24-hour emergency room, an after-hours walk-in clinic and a UT Health East Texas Physicians clinic.

Emergency care

The ER on South Broadway is an extension of the UT Health Tyler emergency department, making emergency care more convenient for south Tyler residents. The facility is equipped and manned to handle a wide range of emergencies from minor to major. If a higher level of care is needed, patients will be transferred to the Level 1 trauma center at UT Health Tyler.

Call 911 or go to the nearest ER, if you experience the following:

Stroke symptoms

Trouble breathing

UT Health East Texas Physicians on South Broadway in Tyler offers extended hours to provide convenient care when an illness or injury isn’t. Open seven days a week, the clinic sees walk-in patients for non-emergency situations.

Family medicine clinic

The family medicine physicians provide primary care to patients of all ages at UT Health East Texas Physicians on South Broadway in Tyler. Patients can receive a variety care services at the clinic including yearly physicals, vaccinations, treatment of chronic conditions, as well as acute illness such as strep, flu and viruses.

COVID-19 Information

UT Urgent Care is currently evaluating and testing patients for COVID-19 on a first come first serve basis. Patients must have symptoms for 24 hours to qualify for a rapid swab . Patients who are asymptomatic or symptoms less than 24 hours qualify for a PCR send out swab. We break from 2 -3 pm for lunch and are unable to evaluate patients with Covid-19 symptoms after 8 pm. Please select which location you would like to be seen at and complete online registration below prior to arrival.

About Us

These walk-in clinics now offer urgent/emergent care medical services to established and new patients in the Knoxville walk-in clinics. The urgent care clinics provide the convenience of a walk-in clinic with the expertise of an emergency room, with specialized after-hour medical care for illnesses and injuries that require medical attention but are not life-threatening. Patients will be cared for by either a physician or an experienced nurse practitioner.

The urgent care clinics offer extended hours, weekend hours and holiday hours with access to physicians, nursing care and laboratory right on site.

UT Urgent Care in Northshore, Seymour, Sevierville and Lenoir City are where you can find quality after-hours urgent care and walk-in clinic care from the experts you know.

UT Health Austin’s Walk-In Clinic diagnosis, treats, and manages a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries, from cold and flu to allergies, cuts, and broken bones, in adult patients (18 years and older). We also provide adult annual exams, health screenings, physical exams, and vaccinations, including catch-up immunizations. Our quick and convenient care is delivered in a timely fashion, and we offer health education tools to help you develop healthier habits.

This means you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines caring for you in one place to avoid having to schedule multiple appointments with providers at locations all over the city. The Walk-In Clinic care team includes surgical and non-surgical specialists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants, outcome specialists, social workers, and more who work together to help you get back to the things in your life that matter most to you.

We collaborate with our colleagues at the Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin to utilize the latest research, diagnostic, and treatment techniques, allowing us to provide convenient medical care for those minor, urgent concerns that can occur when you least expect them. UT Health Austin is housed in the Health Transformation Building (HTB). The HTB is located in downtown Austin, TX on The University of Texas at Austin campus and neighbors the Dell Medical School research and learning buildings as well as the Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.

The UT School of Nursing Wellness Clinic is a primary care clinic. We focus on prevention and management of acute and chronic conditions. Our care is provided primarily by nurse practitioners and our services are for patients of all ages. We work closely with a variety of specialty clinics (e.g. cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, etc.) and assist patients with navigating care services as specific diagnostic management needs arise. We strive to be a medical home for our patients as we work in partnership with them to maintain optimal health.
