Air Pollution in United States - How to find AQI?

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed an Air Quality Index that is used to report air quality. This AQI is divided into six categories indicating increasing levels of health concern. An AQI value over 300 represents hazardous air quality and below 50 the air quality is good. The AQI is based on the five "criteria" pollutants regulated under the Clean Air Act: ground-level ozone, particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. The EPA has established National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for each of these pollutants in order to protect public health. An AQI value of 100 generally corresponds to the level of the NAAQS for the pollutant.[11] The Clean Air Act (USA) (1990) requires EPA to review its National Ambient Air Quality Standards every five years to reflect evolving health effects information. The Air Quality Index is adjusted periodically to reflect these changes.

RED BLUFF — The Tehama County Air Pollution Control District once again issued an air quality advisory Friday due to the heavy smoke blowing from the Dixie Fire in Butte and Plumas counties as well as other surrounding fires.

As of Friday, the conditions ranged from moderate to hazardous in and around Mineral along with the surrounding communities, the advisory said.

For Red Bluff and Corning, air quality from the smoke and ozone impacts was considered to be between moderate and very unhealthy.

Those with symptoms are being asked by the district to get professional medical advice. Symptoms can include, though may not be limited to, coughing, a scratchy throat, watery and itchy eyes and having trouble breathing.

“Scientific studies have linked fine particulate matter (smoke) with significant health problems including premature death, respiratory-related hospital admissions, aggravated asthma, acute respiratory symptoms (including severe chest pain, gasping and aggravated coughing), chronic bronchitis, decreased lung function and work and school absences,” the advisory reads.

All open burning is prohibited, according to the advisory.

The Dixie Fire

The Plumas National Forest Service issued a press release Friday with the latest information surrounding the Dixie Fire.

As of Friday, the fire was at 432,813 acres with containment at 35 percent. Roughly 5,222 firefighters and other personnel were working on the blaze.

“The forecast has moderated, yet hot temperatures and low humidity remain with the possibility of afternoon (southwestern) winds gusting to 25 mph,” the Forest Service release said.

Between Thursday night and Friday morning, the fire grew 71,000 acres toward the east, which is the fire’s largest growth yet.

Focus is being put on protecting the town of Crescent Mills.

On the west side of the fire, the side that borders Tehama County near Mineral and surrounding areas, the fire continued to spread toward control lines put in place to slow it.

“Steep terrain, heavy fuel loading, spot fires and wind in alignment with canyons is making control difficult,” the release said. “The fire is expected to remain active in the morning hours. The valleys will see better relative humidity recovery today, which will enable crews to make headway on building containment lines.”

In Tehama County, evacuation orders are in place for the St. Bernard Lodge and Elam-Carter Creek along with Wilson Lake.

Warnings remain in place for the Fire Mountain Lodge area, Childs Meadows and Colby Creek along the State Route 36E corridor.

Air Quality Index (AQI), #554

Air quality indices (AQI) are numbers used by government agencies to characterize the quality of the air at a given location. As the AQI increases, an increasingly large percentage of the population is likely to experience increasingly severe adverse health effects. Air quality index values are divided into ranges, and each range is assigned a descriptor and a color code. Standardized public health advisories are associated with each AQI range. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) uses the following AQI:

Total Suspended Particulate (TSP)

Tiny airborne particles or aerosols that are less than 100 micrometers are collectively referred to as total suspended particulate matter (TSP).

Lead (TSP)

Pb (TSP) is a measurement of the amount of elemental lead in total suspended particulate (TSP).

Carbon Monoxide (CO)

Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)

Ozone

Particulate Matter (PM)10

Particulate Matter (PM)10 is used to describe particles of 10 micrometers or less.

Particulate Matter (PM)2.5

Particulate Matter (PM)2.5 is used to describe particles of 2.5 micrometers or less.

The information on this page is based on the air quality database from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Each location or city may not have their own monitoring site. Therefore, to calculate air quality we average in the data from the closest monitoring sites with distance considered to each location. For this location, data from monitoring sites located at 40.177778, -122.244444 (County: Tehama, CA); 40.169444, -122.253333 (County: Tehama, CA); 40.170833, -122.256944 (County: Tehama, CA); 40.216944, -122.2225 (County: Tehama, CA); 40.262222, -122.092778 (County: Tehama, CA); are used.

Sighing languidly, I stretched and pressed my ass against his half-grown cock. Anton breathed noisily and kissed me on the shoulder, on the neck, bit my earlobe. his hands finally got under my shirt.

Air Quality Index (AQI) - What It Means For You

Oksana knelt in front of the man and began to gently lick the head of his penis. Then she began to gently suck on his head, swallowing it with her lips. And now Ill throw my head back, legs spread wide apart, Andrei enjoyed a blow job. His hand lay on her head and he, pressing slightly on it, showed Oksana what he wanted. It was superfluous because Oksana and so perfectly knew how to do everything.
