eBay Adds Limits to Invoiced Currency

Sellers who want to change currencies on their eBay invoices will be limited next month. eBay sent an email to some sellers on Wednesday explaining the new policy.

We’re not clear if this is part of the new terms eBay introduced for its Managed Payments program that takes effect on March 17, 2021 for sellers who completed the payments onboarding process prior to January 17, 2021.

Yesterday, we wrote about eBay’s notification to sellers on February 16, 2021, announcing it was phasing out its monthly invoices and would instead hold back fees when it disburses sellers’ sales proceeds (payouts). It would seem if eBay was phasing out invoices, currency would be a moot point – eventually.

The subject line and text of the email eBay sent to sellers today, February 17, 2021 follows below:

Changing currencies on eBay invoices will be limited starting March 17, 2021

Starting March 17, 2021, eBay will no longer offer sellers the option to change their invoiced currency to non-US currency on their eBay invoices. If you are currently receiving eBay invoices in a currency other than US dollars, you will continue to receive your invoices in your selected currency. Beginning March 17, you will only be able to change your non-US currency to US dollars. We are making this change to create a streamlined user experience for seller disbursements and charges when you join managed payments.

Most US sellers are already billed in US dollars. The change will affect a small percentage of sellers who currently use foreign currencies on their eBay invoices.

Thank you for selling on eBay,
Your Selling Team

Here on ebay.com in the US most of the listings will be denominated in USD (US Dollars, displayed by ebay.com as "US $"), and those that aren't will have an "approximate"* conversion to USD under the actual price/bid in the currency of the listing or, on some pages, INSTEAD OF the actual price (this is the default setting on search results and in My eBay, although lately some My eBay pages are showing a new format where the actual price in the actual currency is displayed below the "approximate" conversion--the opposite of how it is displayed on the Listing Page for the item). Be aware that any bid/offer you make must be in the currency of the listing and when you pay the seller must be paid the full price in the currency of the listing (PayPal and other payment methods will convert your currency to the currency of the listing, but see below).

On other country sites  you will likely find something similar but reversed: a higher percentage of listings in the local currency, e.g. in the UK GBP (Great Britain Pounds, displayed by ebay.co.uk as "£"), and some approximate* conversion display of those that aren't to GBP. Keep an eye on your address bar so you don't accidentally emigrate here again.

*Be aware the "approximate" in this case means ALWAYS too low: they are calculated using readily accessible "mid-market rate" quotes (an average of wholesale buy and sell rates of several large banks) while someone with funds in the approximately-converted-to currency (USD on ebay.com, GBP on ebay.co.uk) will have to pay someone their retail "buy rate" to pay the seller the correct price in the currency of listing; if PayPal does the conversion (and the new checkout popups on ebay.com seem to have done away with the ability to have PayPal bill your credit card in the currency of the listing, thus paying your credit card's possibly lower buy rate) its buy rate is 3% above mid-market at the time of payment (I think it calculates them once a day).

How to change the local currency to USD in your Ebay search results

Click Apply changes.

If eBay has deleted this option, they NEED TO BRING IT BACK!!!

2) There IS A WAY to see two different currencies at once.

I THINK this works for all countries, but you have to TRY it.

a) Go on ebay.whatever your country is.

b) Then, add an additional  zip code, postal code or address from the country that you want the other currency shown in into the Shipping Addresses.

For example: I am on ebay.ca and I added a U.S. shipping address and zip code (look it up on the internet and it will give you zipcodes for areas and you can pick the one closest to you (even if you don't intend to have it shipped there). At least this gives you an idea of the price.

When I click on an ad, this comes up:

Price: US $11.65

Approximately C $14.79

For some reason, I don't think it works on ebay.com though.
I entered a Canadian shipping address but it only shows the price of the item in U.S. dollars, (even though it tell me what the cost the of shipping will be to Canada, the amount is still in U.S. dollars.)

Ebay needs to do some revamping on their website and allow numerous currenices to be shown at once, regardless of what site you are on. It would make global shopping MUCH easier!

What is the British money symbol?

£

Why is it called GBP?

The British pound has its origins in continental Europe under the Roman era. Its name derives from the Latin word “poundus” meaning “weight”. The £ symbol comes from an ornate L in Libra. The pound was a unit of currency as early as 775AD in Anglo-Saxon England, equivalent to 1 pound weight of silver.

Does England still use pounds?

The United Kingdom, while part of the European Union, does not use the euro as a common currency. The UK has kept the British Pound because the government has determined the euro does not meet five critical tests that would be necessary to use it.

It was nice to see my classmates. Every time, at the beginning of the school year, I expect a new charming student to come to our class and immediately melt in front of me, but. Then I wake up. I spent the first days only chatting. Well, as it happens, everyone shares about their summer adventures and adventures.

Now discussing:

Anna bit into him with a kiss, and only when the liquid stopped beating out of the penis, Leon pulled away from her and sat down. At her feet. With the same movements as in the beginning, he began to rub the sperm over the body: first he divided it by running his fingers across, and. Then began to rub it into his thighs, right next to the pulsating hole.

It began to seem to Anna that the orgasm did not stop.
