The series premiered on November 7, , with the short The Summoning.[1] It features 12 shorts, airing on VRV and Cartoon Hangover's YouTube channel.[2][3]Go! Cartoons is Frederator Studios' sixth cartoon "incubator" series since [4]

Description[edit]

Go! Cartoons showcases animated shorts and is designed to find "tomorrow’s cartoon hitmakers".[5] Each cartoon short can act as a pilot, with the most successful cartoons having an opportunity to be produced as a full series on Cartoon Hangover or elsewhere. Several animated television series have started in similar incubator-type formats, including Adventure Time and Bee and PuppyCat.

The project began in when Frederator Studios and Sony Pictures Animation called for pitches from animators around the world. Twelve five-minute shorts were produced, and one will become a limited series on Cartoon Hangover.[6]

Sony, Frederator Launch GO! Cartoons with ‘The Summoning’

Elyse Castro’s ‘The Summoning’ will kick off the ‘GO! Cartoons’ incubator series on Frederator’s Cartoon Hangover channels.

NEW YORK AND VANCOUVER -- Sony Pictures Animation and Frederator Networks, a WOW! Unlimited Media company, launched The Summoning, the first episode of GO! Cartoons, on Frederator’s Cartoon Hangover channels on YouTube and VRV from Ellation.

GO! Cartoons is intended to bring promising talent and animated content to the attention of Sony Pictures Animation through an alternative development method. Frederator Studios’ development team took hundreds of pitches and, with Sony Pictures Animation, identified 12 short film projects which Sony Pictures Animation funded. At least one of those shorts will become a series for Frederator Network’s Cartoon Hangover channel.

Fred Seibert, CEO of Frederator Networks says: “Sony Pictures Animation has been the perfect partner in finding these creators and realizing their unique visions. Frederator is dedicated to finding new voices for the world to fall in love with.”

The Summoning is created by Elyse Castro of Brisbane, Australia. The next film in the GO! Cartoons series will be Boots from daughter-and-father team Alison Cowles and David Cowles on Nov. The rest of the GO! Cartoons will roll out every other week.

Eric Homan, Frederator Studios’ head of development, adds: “Shorts shows have been Frederator’s bread-and-butter for decades. It’s as exciting to support fresh talent today as it was back in , whether the filmmakers are in Brisbane, New York, London, Latvia or right here in Burbank.”

Fred Seibert and his team at Frederator Studios have successfully created several incubator series since Frederator Studio’s inception in , including Oh Yeah! Cartoons and Random! Cartoons for Nickelodeon. These yielded hits such as Butch Hartman’s The Fairly OddParents for Nickelodeon and Pendleton Ward’s Adventure Time on Cartoon Network. As president of Hanna-Barbera in the s, Fred Seibert pioneered incubator series that discovered talent and shows for the fledgling Cartoon Network, such as Powerpuff Girls, created by Craig McCracken, and Dexter’s Laboratory, created by Genndy Tartakovsky.

The Cartoon Hangover channel was launched in to bring cartoons from Frederator Studios and other production studios directly to fans. Cartoon Hangover’s most recent incubator lab, Too Cool! Cartoons, brought “cartoons from new and innovative creators all over the world, right to your eyeballs,” including Bee & PuppyCat from creator Natasha Allegri. Frederator Studios went directly to viewers via Kickstarter, and more than 18, fans ponied up a total in excess of $, to bankroll the series, a record-breaking amount and the most backed for any animation project start-up.

Sony Pictures Animation is the Academy Award-nominated studio responsible for blockbuster comedy hits such as Surf’s Up, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania and The Smurfs. The animation studio will be releasing the inspirational feature The Star in theaters on Nov. 17; Hotel Transylvania 3 next July, once again directed by Tartakovsky; and a fully animated Spider-Man movie from the minds of Chris Miller and Phil Lord in December

&#;The dirt will cleanse me!&#;

"Iwanttodieeee..~"

Claire, after inadvertently eating dandruff flakes.

The Summoning is an animated short created by Elyse Castro and distributed by Frederator Studios' "Cartoon Hangover" outlet, as part of the "Go! Cartoons" joint venture with Sony Pictures Animation. It started out as a series of comics. The series follows Claire, a young catnote originally intended to be a wood elf, but her appearance led to fans considering her to be a Cat Girl, and Castro later officially labelled her as one witch who lives with her pet cat, Edgar. She&#;s constantly trying to summon new entities, but it doesn&#;t always work out the way she wants it to, usually due to missing a key ingredient. The aesthetic of the series is oftentimes compared favorably to Adventure Time and Chowder, or mids Cartoon Network animated series in general. As of now, there&#;s only one episode of the animated adaptation, but Elyse Castro has confirmed that she is attempting to pitch a full series.

The Summoning provides examples of:

  • All There in the Manual: The comic states that Claire is 12 years old (the animated adaptation makes her 14), and is a wood elf, not a cat. An interview with Elyse Castro after the animated adaptation states that she is half-wood elf, half-cat. Said "manual" can be found here.
  • All Witches Have Cats: Claire owns a pet cat, Edgar, who assists her on her witchcraft. It&#;s rather ironic because Claire strongly resembles a cat herself.
  • Ambiguous Species: Claire is supposed to be a wood elf, but pretty much everything about her screams &#;feline&#;.
  • Broken Aesop: The protagonists are said to lack &#;common sense&#; repeatedly, but the mistakes they make are from ignorance, in some cases of fairly obscure facts like demon portfolios, or rabbit digestive functions.
  • Cat Folk: Claire looks feline in appearance, though she was intended to be a wood elf, hence the lack of a tail.
  • Cute Witch: Claire is an adorable little aspiring witch.
  • Creepy Child: Claire is a gloomy, slightly deranged little girl who practices witchcraft.
  • Exact Words: When Claire told Edgar that she summons a demon to "eliminate some scum", she simply wants the demon to clean the bathroom, not people she despises.
  • Eye of Newt: Claire needs to pick up some troll fat to complete a summoning potion.
  • Furry Confusion: Claire seems to be a cat or some sort of feline, but owns a cat in the form of Edgar. Edgar is also anthropomorphic himself, adding to the confusion.
  • Goth Girls Know Magic: Claire is quite gifted in the dark arts.
  • Gross-Up Close-Up: "I live on a swamp giant's head. Swamp Giant Head Island? It's dandruff."
  • Nightmare Face: Claire makes a frighteningly angry face while yelling at Edgar to get off the door, exclaiming it's made of mahogany.
  • I Ate WHAT?!:
    • Claire attempts to "cleanse" herself from getting a giant mouthful of troll fat by eating "dirt"which, given she is on Swamp Giant Head Island, is in reality dandruff.
    • Edgar also gets a rude awakening when the "chocolates" he stole from the rabbit turn out to bewell, take a guess. Then he also tries eating "dirt" to cleanse himself, despite the above revelation!

Gecko: You guys don't have a lotta common sense, do ya?

Claire: (holds up coin)We'd like to pay now.

  • Mundane Utility: Claire uses her summoning magic to call a demon/ghost to clean out the scum in her bathroom.
  • Perky Goth: Claire has a strong goth aesthetic, contrasting her petite size and cute appearance.
  • Vague Age: Claire is tiny, but has a fairly deep voice, making her seem like she&#;s in her early-mid teens. She&#;s apparently
  • Younger Than They Look: Subverted. Claire is 12 years old, but sounds and acts a bit older. She does look the part, though.

The Summoning - from GO! Cartoons only on Cartoon Hangover - Full Episode #2

Young man, Olya, cool you let him down, - said someone from the crowd. Now I was sitting alone behind this same door. When before he gave us a task and left, Anton, Kolya's friend, approached me, grabbed me, pushed me into a corner, gave a member and said that I. Had gone through the whole thing. He fucked me in a minute or two, after which he drained the sperm, hid the member, zastezhil fly and sat down.

Similar news:

You would have regretted him earlier when you asked for seagulls to me. But I will not marry her, I understood that at once. Something had to be answered. Thank you for your trust and say that I think we could really make a good couple. And that wouldn't be a lie, I really feel that way.
