My mother had an anoxic brain injury which required her to receive full care in a skilled nursing facility. Mom has a trach, a feeding tube and limited mobility. While in the hospital (1/1//14/20) she was labeled a fall risk because she can move her legs well but not her upper body/core. When arriving at JIPA (5/14/20), they put her in a bed without rails and took her off the fall risk because they thought she was a quadriplegic. After two days, she fell out of her bed and had to go to the hospital. They then put her back on as a fall risk. Unfortunately, a week later she fell out of bed again and hit her head on her night stand. When she fell the first time, we asked for railings to be added to her bed. We were told the type of air mattress she is on isn't allowed to have railings for safety concerns. We asked for mom to be put on a regular mattress so she can have rails. It took months before we were able to get her a regular mattress and we were never notified when the rails were added. This was just the beginning of the problems we have faced with this facility. They never answer the phone. My family and I would call up to 20 times and not once were our calls answered. This was a daily occurrence. It was like pulling teeth to be able to speak with mom's nurse to get an update about her. When we finally got a nurse on the line, they were rude and short with me. There were a few instances where staff picked up the phone, yelled at me for calling and then hung up on me. Someone even told me, "if you think you will be able to video chat with your mother everyday, that is not going to happen." All while we were in the middle of a pandemic and no visitors were allowed. At this point, mom had not seen anyone for 3 months. They have sent mom to the wrong hospital, twice. During two different hospital stays (MUSC and Trident), the ENTs told us that her trach had been out for days and that she would need to be cut open again to get her trach back in. This happened one month apart. During one of her hospital visits (fall of ), my brother was able to visit her. When he saw her, she was filthy. Stunk of body odor, unwashed hair, globs of gunk stuck behind her ears, feet and hands covered in a yeast infection, nails untrimmed, and her teeth covered in plaque and her tongue had thrush. Another time my brother got to visit her in the hospital (spring ), my mother had similar issues as the fall visit plus this time her hair was so matted that we couldn't detangle it. We had to cut it all off. These are just a handful of issues we had with this place. It is a complete headache for anyone who is their loved one's representative and wants to be informed about their health and care. The only positive thing about this place was the Speech therapist, Jenny. She was communicative and included me with mom's sessions. Not only was she good at her job, she would take extra time to brush mom's hair and wipe her face. She really cared for the people she worked with.

Johns Island Post Acute Employee Reviews

Poor management. Awful Don/ADON

Nurse (Former Employee) - Johns Island, SC - November 12,

What an awful, toxic place to work. Management sits in an Ivory Tower. Never comes onto the floors. Neither of the DON OR ADON know how to Nurse. So many good people have left. They are so desperate now, they are trying to get old employees to come back. Every single person says they'd NEVER work for the DON ever again. Positive reviews are fake. Come on you can see the BS. Its a clique. More and more people are leaving because of upper management, lack of support, the gossip, its a MEAN building. Honestly respect yourself enough to know you deserve better. These people DO NOT change. They will blame it on the old administrator. The DON has been there over 20 years. HE is the problem, with his entrouge of misfits. I can give you names and numbers of some great people that finally managed to get away. They too will speak the evil truth of the DON, ADON, STAFF DEVELOPMENT, WHATEVER HIS LITTLE ASSISTANTS JOB TITLE IS NOW. I have never seen such worthless administrate staff. Blessed be the staff who continue to try and do the right thing. The money isn't worth the toxic environment or the toll it will take on you. Don't sell your soul to the DEVIL. THESE people are evil.

Care johns acute island post

Alyoshka wanted to watch again and again. Behind the wall there was again the thud of someone's easy gait. This time a young, fair-haired girl in a light summer dress stood in front of him. She already had a piece of toilet paper at the ready.

Telemedicine Pays for Itself in Post Acute Care

But while not touching the groin, he turned over and I began to massage my back again, legs and arms. He lay on his back again, and I proceeded to the groin gently and slowly rubbing the oil over his penis. Then she lubricated the chest with oil, squeezed his cock between the tits and began to slowly move forward and back. It worked, he got stronger again.

I sat down on his stake again, this time with my back to his face and began with sharp jerks, then completely sit down, then almost.
