Changing Subaru Outback Cabin Air Filter ()

Save money and replace your Subaru Outback cabin air filter once a year or every 12, miles. It's a cheap and easy DIY maintenance job that takes only a few minutes, requires zero tools and can actually make you feel better! We chose a Bosch HEPA Cabin Air Filter - tested to meet High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) standards, and provide filtration efficiency of % at microns. If you have allergies or other respiratory issues this is the filter you want. Replacing your cabin air filter will also help remove funky car odors.

Overview

Today we're changing the cabin air filter on our Subaru Outback. We're gonna use this HEPA rated filter from Bosch. So why HEPA?

So this happens to be a high-efficiency particulate air filter and these filters are rated to filter out % of airborne particulates that are microns. And why does that matter? It really matters if you're like me and you have allergies. It's gonna remove more allergens from the air you are breathing in your car and if you spend a lot of time in your car that matters.

Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

So now for the actual replacement. It's pretty easy. You're gonna empty your glovebox, which I've already done, and secondly you need to disconnect a dampener arm that is over here on the right hand side of the glove box. Third, you need to apply a little bit of pressure on both sides of the glove box to release these two areas of the glove box from this track. So now you've got access to the cover and you're going to squeeze on both sides to release the cover. Cover comes right out. Now you can see the old cabin air filter.

So now you just want to remove this carefully so you don't get a bunch of debris in the car. And this one looks pretty dirty. It's probably never been changed. So this is our old one. So this is the before and this will be the after. This is the Bosch filter - amazing difference. You should actually do this about once a year or every 12, miles. So I'm going to just slide the new one in. One of the things that I'm looking at is the air flow on these is supposed to go down. This slides into place good to go. Just need to put my cover back in. All right now we're just gonna close up the glove box. I'm gonna reattach that dampener arm and we're done!

twitter announced today that it will be removing its implementation of stories dubbed &#;fleets.&#; the feature was either loved or hated by twitter users since its initial release last year.

this short-lived feature, which was released in november of last year, will be removed on august 3. twitter acknowledged the controversial nature of the snapchat/instagram clone with the farewell tweet. notably, there was no fleet from the main twitter account announcing the departure of the feature, only a standard tweet.

in the goodbye, the company said it is working on &#;new stuff.&#; one can hope that they add the ability to edit tweets, in addition to the new edit audience and monetization features.

in a more detailed blog post, twitter shared that it hoped fleets would make people more comfortable posting onto twitter. as fleets disappear, some of the fleet creation features, like gifs and stickers, will be implemented into the standard tweets composer.

Subaru Outback - Air Filter

The air filter removes and traps dust, dirt, and other contaminants from the air being pulled into the engine. It is typically located inside an air cleaner or an air filter box for easy access and replacement. Many are made of a combination of a paper filter material and wire for structure. Keeping the air filter clean and regularly replacing a dirty air filter can improve fuel economy and engine performance. A clogged air filter can cause misfiring, unusual engine sounds, or a gas smell when starting your car. If the filter is clogged, your engine can't get the air it needs to run at its best.
