Warzone Season 4 Reloaded: Patch Notes

Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is a huge mid-season update coming to the battle royale game and many will be wanting to know the patch notes behind it.

Patch notes provide all of the details surrounding the update including weapon balances, new game modes and map changes.

With the mid-season update being rather large, we expect the patch notes to be in-depth also.

The mid-season event in Season 3 was an action movie heroes event which saw Rambo and John McClane Operators added to the game. Therefore, gamers should be excited for this upcoming update.

Season 4 also saw Red Doors open up in the game to give players a chance to teleport to different places around Verdansk, and it is worth wondering if any new changes will happen to them when the mid-season update arrives.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded Patch Notes

When an update comes along, sometimes all the new content it brings with it is not easy to discover in-game, and this makes it essential to keep an eye out for when the patch notes are released so that you get the best out of Warzone.

The patch notes have arrived and have been provided by Raven Software. Here they are:

Blueprint Blitz, a Limited-Time Event
There is a new special global Event. In this event, new Contraband Contracts automatically spawn after you complete two regular Contracts. Contraband Contracts award you with a permanent Weapon Blueprint reward if you’re able to extract it from the DZ, in addition to tons of Cash within your current match.

Blueprint Blitz should give you the opportunity to earn plenty of Weapon Blueprints from prior seasons.

Red Doors
The Red Doors Can Now Take You To New Locations

The Killchain Perk now increases the chance to obtain all Warzone Killstreaks from loot.

General changes

  • There are New Gulag loadouts
  • The Sentry Gun Killstreak can be found in Red Door Control Rooms
  • The Specialist Token is now slightly more common in core BR
  • Combat Bow Killstreak damage has been increased and it will now down enemies who are directly hit.
  • Players will now drop their current equipment directly behind them when looting a Loadout Drop.
  • Vertical camera movement will no longer be locked when sliding on a downward slope.
  • There are two new Warzone-specific Perks. High Alert will also be receiving an update that allows players to hear Dead Silent footsteps.

Dirt Bike Updates:
You can now perform wheelies
The Dirt Bike now supports leaning forward and backward in the air as well, so make sure to position yourself for that perfect landing.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the PS5 hz mode couldn’t be activated while HDR was enabled.
  • Fixed an issue with the Xbox One S that would prevent Players from joining matches in Verdansk Playlists.
  • Fixed several issues that resulted in Players crashing due to Dev Error
  • Fixed additional collision issues with various elements across Verdansk allowing Players to exploit/peek/shoot through them.
  • Fixed an issue causing melee attacks to one-shot other Players if simultaneously equipping Armor Plates.
  • Fixed an issue preventing Players from saving custom mods on the Shotgun Bravo (BOCW).
  • Fixed an issue preventing Players from saving custom mods on the Tactical Rifle Charlie (BOCW).
  • Fixed an issue with older Graphics Cards displaying shadows incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue with Rebirth Crates appearing open when they should be closed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ice Drake’s Barrel was obstructing the Player’s sight when ADSing with an Axial Arms 3x Optic.
  • Fixed an issue allowing Players to briefly use Weapons after being downed if the Gas Mask animation was still active.
  • Fixed an issue where a Bounty Target would still be tracked after death.
  • Fixed an issue allowing Players to access an out of play area in the Downtown Tower.

  • Fixed an issue where Players would be unable to exit the Dirt Bike if it got stuck.
  • Fixed an issue where Players in the passenger seat would not be able to melee other Players.
  • Fixed an issue where picking up a fallen Dirt Bike would not play a pickup animation.
  • Fixed an issue where detonating C4 on a Dirt Bike could kill Players in your squad.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dirt Bike could be positioned to prevent doors from opening.
  • Fixed an issue where the Helicopter blades would not kill Players riding a Dirt Bike.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dirt Bike could get stuck if navigated to be resting on its underside.
  • Fixed an issue where the kill feed icon for the Dirt Bike was the ATV.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dirt Bike minimap icon was larger than other vehicle icons.
  • Fixed an issue in Plunder where Player vision was partially blocked with bags of money.

It will be hard to top the huge event last season, but it will be interesting to see if the game keeps some Points of Interest, like the huge Skyscraper based off of the one in the first Die Hard movie.

Modern Warfare Season 4: Reloaded is a mid-season refresh introducing a handful of new features.

Headlining the patch is players in Battle Royale modes, alongside a new weapon - the Rytec AMR - and new Operator Roze in Warzone.

Modern Warfare has seen some new additions too - including the Cheshire Park map and Team Defender mode.

What's new

Player Warzone!

Verdansk will now be able to hold up to players. Jump into Battle Royale Quads with players!

Supply Run Contracts!

Upon activation, you and your squad (if applicable) will be directed to a nearby Buy Station. Reach it within the time limit to get a discount on Buy Station purchases.

Spotter Scope!

Think of this as a high-powered scope without the glint; this re-usable scope allows you to scan the environment around you and mark enemies without being detected. Perfect for scouting ahead, the Spotter Scope is a great tool for Operators who want to plan their next move while keeping a low profile.

Please note that the Season Four Reloaded update will have a download size of approximately GB for owners of the full version of Modern Warfare. Console owners must install a secondary download of approximately GB, then reboot the game to access Multiplayer, if desired.

A reminder, console players can choose also to uninstall/remove other data packs (e.g. Special Operations), if no longer needed for a smaller overall file size. For detailed information on uninstalling/removing other data packs, read this article.

Once the Season Four Reloaded update is fully completed, it should minimally increase the overall digital footprint of the full version of Modern Warfare.

Existing free-to-play Warzone players will have a download size of approximately 22GBGB, once finished there will be a reduction to the overall footprint on their machines.

  • If a player throws a Molotov at a severely damaged Deployable Cover, the Deployable Cover will break and the Molotov fire will disappear, but damage for the fire remains present for a duration of ~20 seconds. This has been fixed
  • Recon Drones can now be destroyed with Throwing Knives
  • Hipfire reticles are now visible in Spectate and in the Killcam. This will make it easier to tell if a player is using Stopping Power rounds or Slug rounds

Warzone

  • Fix for an exploit in Boneyard where players could climb into the destroyed portion of a plane
  • Gas Mask now cracks when you're taking damage near or in the circle
  • 'Team Wiped' message now appears in the Killfeed for your whole squad to see
  • Fix for an issue where players could spawn under the map after winning their Gulag match
  • Fixed a bug where players using Charly's Tactical Human skin or Mara's Valkryie skin would notice their character models missing from the exfil epilogue in the helicopter
  • The audio for the Supply Choppers is too loud, preventing players from hearing most other sounds and communicating with their squad. This has been adjusted
  • During the Supply Chopper event the supply choppers may spawn from under the map, killing players positioned on top of these locations as they raised through the map. This has been fixed
  • Fix for the final circle being too close over areas that players cannot access such as the middle of Stadium
  • The After Action Report now shows Cash Earned and Placement
  • Fix for a rare bug where a player spawned out of bounds after dying out of bounds
  • Fix for a minor issue where the radio operator dialog and subtitles for called in Killstreaks could incorrectly play the wrong faction
  • Now allow up to three Precision Airstrikes to be called in at once but within a distance restriction

Weapons

  • The M4 will perform an AR magazine reload when attempting to reload the underbarrel launcher while you have the 50 Round Mag attachment equipped. This has been fixed
  • Stopping Power is now applied to headshots. Only certain weapons can go from a 2-shot to a 1-shot head shot, like the FAL and Oden. This fixes a few cases where headshots could sometimes do less damage than body shots when using Stopping Power

Special Operations

  • Improved the effectiveness of the Decoy Grenade against most types of enemy soldiers
  • Added new Mission 'Hard Boiled' - Demonstrate your proficiency in Co-Op operations with these tricky challenges!
  • Operation Harbinger - Fixed issue where some of the white trucks would appear without any enemies inside of them

Special Operations: Survival

  • At the Weapons Store the weapons with purchased Gunsmith attachments are now displayed clearly
  • The Buy Phase timer now pulses red when about to run out to help remind players of the upcoming wave
  • Fixed issue where the text chat was overlapping some Buy Phase store elements
  • Fixed issue where players could purchase weapons from the store as they are being downed
  • Fixed issue where if players voted to 'Retry' after failing beyond wave 55 they would start each Buy Phase with reduced time
  • Fixed a rare issue where players could use Munitions / Killstreaks in while downed

The following new features focus on three primary areas of accessibility: Hard of Hearing, Blind/Low-Vision, and Cognitive Overload.

  • Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen): Added a new accessibility option to change the visibility duration of incoming messages. Players can adjust the length of time that the text chat widget stays on screen when a new message is received. This feature is intended to support Hard of Hearing and Cognitive Overload Accessibility. 

    • Players can choose their desired text chat behavior from the following options: 
      • Off: The text chat will never show on the HUD for new messages
      • Default: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 3 seconds. This is the legacy behavior that has been in use in Warzone.
      • Medium: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 15 seconds. 
      • Long: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 30 seconds. 
      • Extended: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 60 seconds. 
    • This setting can be found by opening the Accessibility Options Menu and selecting Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) under the Visuals tab.

    • Alternatively, this setting can be found by opening the Options Menu and selecting Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) under the General tab.

Non-verbal communication is a cornerstone of Warzone gameplay and we are leveraging accessibility-oriented playtesting and our Warzone Accessibility FAQ feedback form to explore improvements to our text chat features. By adding more customizability to the amount of time the text chat stays on-screen when new messages are received, we hope Players will be better supported in strategically communicating with their squad without needing to rely on external hardware, such as headphones. However, we want to avoid spamming Players with additional HUD messaging during moment-to-moment combat, so we have also added an advanced version of this feature that allows Players to choose which of their incoming messages have longer or shorter on-screen durations. In effect, Players will be able to choose to keep squad messages on-screen for longer, while quieting down things like system messages. Alternatively, for Players with disabilities related to cognitive overload, the Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) feature allows Players to turn off in-game text chat notifications on the HUD entirely, so that messages can be received without causing disruption or disturbance that hinders the gameplay experience.

  • Advanced Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen): The advanced version of the Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) accessibility option allows Players to customize the visibility duration of incoming messages according to message type. In other words, Players can choose different visibility durations for Player Messages compared to System Messages. In addition, Players can select Always On Screen to prevent the text chat element from fading from the HUD. 

    • This can be accessed by navigating to the Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) option and selecting the “Advanced” button underneath.

    • Players can choose their desired text chat visibility duration for incoming Player messages (only) with the Player Messages Behavior setting.

    • Players can choose their desired text chat visibility duration for incoming system messages (only) with the System Messages Behavior setting. 

    • Both of these settings provide the following options to choose from: 
      • Off: The text chat will never show on the HUD for new messages
      • Default: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 3 seconds. This is the legacy behavior that has been in use in Warzone.
      • Medium: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 15 seconds. 
      • Long: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 30 seconds. 
      • Extended: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 60 seconds. 
    • Always On Screen: This setting is accessed from the Advanced Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) option. When enabled, the text chat widget will stay permanently on-screen while in-game. This setting is intended to support Cognitive Overload and Blind/Low-Vision Accessibility by eliminating the need for rapid peripheral visual localization and language processing of a temporary HUD element under time pressure.
  • New Message Sound Alert: Added a new accessibility option to enable sound alerts when receiving new messages. This feature is intended to support Blind/Low-Vision Accessibility by providing a second channel for information communication - adding the sound alert allows Players to have an audio cue for new messages rather than only a visual cue. This setting applies in-game as well as in the front-end.

    • Players can choose from the following options to customize which messages they’d like to receive d sound alerts for: 
      • Disabled: (Default) No audio cue will be played when new messages are received. 
      • Player Messages Only: An audio cue is played when new messages are received from other Players. 
      • System Messages Only: An audio cue is played when new system messages are received. 
      • Both: An audio cue is played when any new message is received, including party chat and system messages.
    • This can be found by navigating to the Visuals tab within the Accessibility Options Menu and selecting New Message Sound Alert. Alternatively, this setting can also be found by navigating to the Options Menu, going to the General tab, and selecting New Message Sound Alert. 

This text chat feature improvement was also inspired by our internal accessibility-oriented playtesting and our online Warzone Accessibility FAQ feedback form. By using audio to provide a second channel of visual information communication, we hope that this option better supports Player-to-Player communication for blind and low-vision Players. Adding an audio cue helps alleviate the need for visual acuity at the periphery of the screen, where the text chat element lives. In addition, this feature will allow all Players, regardless of ability/disability, to have an indication of when new messages are received when they are away from their gaming setup, not looking at the screen, alt-tabbed out of the window, etc.!

ORIGINAL: For fans wanting to know more about today’s big Warzone update, there will be plenty being shared by developers Treyarch in the coming hours. The first COD patch notes can be found at the bottom of this article covering the new weapon rebalancing, UI changes, and bug fixes.

We already have the headlines, including what new weapons, modes and items will be making their debut on July 15 in Warzone.

A new Call of Duty Sentry Gun Killstreak looks set to create all kinds of mayhem in Verdansk, especially in the final circle.

Gamers will be able to set up the automated rapid-fire turret in most locations and scans in a neardegree radius in front of itself to seek and destroy enemies.

It executes this pattern for at least a minute after deployment before collapsing via the normal harmless explosion used in Warzone.

But while the Sentry Gun could prove to be the winning decoy to secure the final elimination, it will only be found as an extremely rare Legendary item drop within a Red Door room Supply Box.

So while the Sentry Gun will be an incredible tool to have, it won’t be easy to find and use in every match.

The OTs 9 SMG will be a new machine gun that will be available to unlock later today and could be another big game-changer.

We don’t know how big an impact it will have but Activision describes it as a weapon that boasts solid damage at a high fire-rate, and can be compared to the Bullfrog in terms of damage and fire rate.

The downside will be the round maximum ammo round available in a clip but it could still prove to be popular after it arrives.

More changes to weapons are expected to be confirmed in today’s patch notes, including what is being nerfed and what is getting a buff.

But until we have access to the full Warzone Season 4 patch notes, here’s the early news shared by Treyarch this week:

  • Other Players that the Player interacted with during a match will be automatically sorted to the top of the Recent Lobby list to make it easier to report instances of cheating and/or toxicity even after the match has ended.
  • The following new features focus on three primary areas of accessibility: Hard of Hearing, Blind/Low-Vision, and Cognitive Overload.
  • Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen): Added a new accessibility option to change the visibility duration of incoming messages. Players can adjust the length of time that the text chat widget stays on screen when a new message is received. This feature is intended to support Hard of Hearing and Cognitive Overload Accessibility.

Players can choose their desired text chat behavior from the following options:

  • Off: The text chat will never show on the HUD for new messages
  • Default: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 3 seconds. This is the legacy behavior that has been in use in Warzone.
  • Medium: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 15 seconds.
  • Long: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 30 seconds.
  • Extended: When new messages are received, the text chat will stay on screen for 60 seconds.

This setting can be found by opening the Accessibility Options Menu and selecting Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) under the Visuals tab.

Alternatively, this setting can be found by opening the Options Menu and selecting Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) under the General tab.

  • Advanced Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen): The advanced version of the Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) accessibility option allows Players to customize the visibility duration of incoming messages according to message type. In other words, Players can choose different visibility durations for Player Messages compared to System Messages. In addition, Players can select Always On Screen to prevent the text chat element from fading from the HUD.
  • This can be accessed by navigating to the Text Chat Behavior (Time On Screen) option and selecting the “Advanced” button underneath.
  • Players can choose their desired text chat visibility duration for incoming Player messages (only) with the Player Messages Behavior setting.
  • Players can choose their desired text chat visibility duration for incoming system messages (only) with the System Messages Behavior setting.

Both of these settings provide the following options to choose from:

  • Disabled: (Default) No audio cue will be played when new messages are received.
  • Player Messages Only: An audio cue is played when new messages are received from other Players.
  • System Messages Only: An audio cue is played when new system messages are received.
  • Both: An audio cue is played when any new message is received, including party chat and system messages.
  • This can be found by navigating to the Visuals tab within the Accessibility Options Menu and selecting New Message Sound Alert. Alternatively, this setting can also be found by navigating to the Options Menu, going to the General tab, and selecting New Message Sound Alert.

PAYLOAD

Warzone has received several innovations since its launch, from in-game events like the Haunting of Verdansk to Resurgence modes, and even a bit of 50v50 rumbling.

Now, as part of Season Four Reloaded, the massive free-to-play experience introduces its newest objective based mode: Payload.

Inspired by previous traditional Call of Duty game modes like Call of Duty®: WWII’s War Mode, Payload pits two teams of 20 players against each other in a race against time for crucial intel, as these vehicles carry satellite parts that could help shift the balance of the war between Perseus and NATO.

BLUEPRINT BLITZ

Ahead of Season Four Reloaded, we’re here to warn you that the Warzone can, and will, turn into a Blueprint Blitz.

Similar to Double XP weekends, Raven Software is planning to activate a new special global event where Contraband Contracts automatically spawn after you complete two regular Contracts. Contraband Contracts award you with a permanent Weapon Blueprint reward if you’re able to extract it from the DZ, in addition to tons of Cash within your current match.

WARZONE GIFTING

There is plenty more that will be included in Season Four Reloaded for Warzone, which Raven is set to cover in its patch notes blog. But for now, one more important update is the introduction of Battle Pass and Store Bundle Gifting feature from Black Ops Cold War.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Reloaded patch notes

Raven Software has released the patch notes for Season 4 Reloaded which comes equipped with a new limited-time event and a brand new game mode.

The new update for Warzone will see some new additions and changes for players of the popular battle royal FPS.

Players will be able to earn Weapn Blueprints with the new Contraband Contracts.

There will also be a new game mode, new gulag loadouts as well as a few other tweaks and changes to gameplay.

Here are the patch notes for season 4 Reloaded which is out now.

Blueprint Blitz

Similar to Double XP weekends, Raven has released a special global event where Contraband Contracts will automatically spawn when two regular contracts are completed in succession.

Contraband Contracts will award players with a permanent Weapon Blueprint if they can extract it from the DZ - plenty of cash will be awarded to also help players in-game.

This event will give players the opportunity to earn Weapon Blueprints from previous seasons that they may have missed.

Blueprint Blitz will only be included in standard Battle Royale and Plunder.

Payload

Payload is Warzone's first-ever objective-based game mode that pits two teams of 20 against each other.

One team is tasked with escorting two caravans of vehicles through a series of checkpoints while the other must sabtogage them.

Barriers can be built by the defensive team while they collect contracts to aid in their objective.

If the attacking team successfully guides the vehicles to the checkpoint within the time limit, they will win the match.

If the defenders stop them until time runs out then they will win.

Payload is featured in the upcoming Featured Playlist Rotation as part of Season 4 Reloaded.

Gameplay

All Season 4 Reloaded *Patch Notes* 😱 Nerfs \u0026 Buffs

Call of Duty's Season 4 Reloaded update is out today, and Treyarch released patch notes, detailing more of what's to come for Black Ops Cold War's Zombies and multiplayer, including a classic nuke killstreak.

Multiplayer

Along with the return of Call of Duty's classic Capture the Flag mode and Black Ops 2's Rush paintball map, there will be a new Cranked Moshpit mode. This new playlist will include the all-new Cranked Team Deathmatch and Cranked Kill Confirmed, which will be similar to Cranked Hardpoint from the '80s Action Heroes event. Basically, eliminate enemies to become "Cranked" to earn buffs, and keep getting kills before your Cranked Timer runs out.

If Cranked isn't explosive enough for you, Treyarch announced players will now be able to call in a Nuke killstreak. It won't be a game ending streak, but it will wipe all players when the nuke detonates in all modes. However, League Play and CDL variants, Multi-Team, Party Games, and Gunfight are excluded from the nuke streak.

As of right now, a store bundle called The Tanker is showing up for an incorrect price of 2, CP. However, it will cost the correct price when actually purchased.

Zombies

Arriving with the new Mauer der Toten round-based map, players can also expect major changes to enemy health caps, enemy armor durability, sniper rifle critical and max damage buffs, Pack-a-Punched melee weapon damage buffs, as well as damage scaling for equipment, support items, and field upgrades.

The update will also reintroduce the fan-favorite Mule Kick perk, which allows players to carry a third weapon. Treyarch detailed the new perk upgrades that will be available for Mule Kick as players level the perk up to Skill Tier V.

  • Base ability: Carry a third primary weapon.
  • Skill Tier I: Crafted Equipment grants an additional Equipment if able.
  • Skill Tier II: All enemies have a small chance to drop ammo.
  • Skill Tier III: Stowed weapons slowly refill ammo from stock.

Season Four Reloaded will add more rewards to earn in League Play, including new CDL-themed weapon blueprints, charms, emblems, stickers, and XP bonuses at milestones up to wins:

  • Dirt Bike Updates: Wheelies!
    • Lean back to lift the Dirt Bike and initiate a wheelie.
    • Lean forward to increase steering sensitivity and allow the Dirt Bike to perform sharper turns.
    • The Dirt Bike now supports leaning forward and backward in the air as well, so make sure to position yourself for that perfect landing.
