There's a reason they call Bear Lake the Caribbean of the Rockies. The most gorgeous turquoise water you'll ever see in a lake. With the white sand, it felt like we were at the seashore! Beautiful views, huge beach to walk on, nicely paved roads. Our only complaint was that it was very windy both days we were there, and with the gravel site, it was dusty. Still, we'd stay again. Good cell service, full hookups, friendly helpful employees. We camped at Bear Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

We were stoked to find some last minute reservations here at Bear Lake on the 4th of July weekend. We liked being on the East Shore away from the crowds a little bit. It was HOT so we were happy to have electricity to run our AC when we came back from a hot day at the lake. No fires allowed at this time, but we enjoyed the fireworks being set off around the lake. No shade in campsite 1. We camped at Bear Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Bear Lake itself is beautiful, but this campground is mediocre at best. No flush toilets or showers, sites do not have water hook-ups. I feel this wasn't a great value for my money. Not much to do unless you have a kayak or boat. We camped at Bear Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

The campground is awesome and super close to the Bear Lake North State park entrance. Ken is super friendly and very helpful. Lots of activities like volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, etc. Kids loved the shaded kids playground. Bathrooms are super clean. Already booked out trip for next year. Cant say enough good things on how great of an experience we had. We camped at Bear Lake North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This place was just okay
Sites so close we couldn't extend our awning. Owners dogs were allowed to run, and they peed on everything left outside. Pay showers? Really, at $40 per night? We didn't need shower room, self contained, but this is meant as a heads up. Sites are full hookup. Close to road, but road quiets at night. We camped at Bear Lake North RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
East side of bear lake is better. Great beach and park area. Be sure to visit Minnetonka cave.

This park is tired and needs some added care. Electric pedestal is old. Site slopes to front and to passenger side pretty heavily. Right next to highway so is noisy. Showers cost money for what it is worth. Campers enter either going south or north so you share utilities with a neighbor but even more importantly you share a yard with your neighbor so there is no privacy if you are outside. Good enough for one night; would not stay here for extended period especially when it is during the busy season. We camped at Bear Lake North RV Park in a Motorhome.
