State Police investigators announce the names of the individuals in yesterday's fatal accident.

The operator of a northbound motorcycle, Lester Fillingham, age 51, from Geneva was killed when he was struck by a southbound vehicle being operated by Ashley Campbell, age 22, from Geneva, NY when she crossed over into the northbound lane.

Campbell and two passengers, Maleek Odusanya, age 25, from Geneva was sent to a local hospital for minor injuries and an infant was also sent to a local hospital for precautionary measures.


The investigation is continuing.





On May 24, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the State Police responded to County Road 6 near County Route 4 in the town of Geneva for a report of a fatal accident involving a passenger car and a motorcycle.

Car – Deer Crash On State Rt. 104 in Wayne County

The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports a single car personal injury automobile crash on State Route 104 near the intersection with Fisher Road in the Town of Ontario. Danny McPherson, age 57, of 389 Pine Creek Avenue, Jersey Shore PA was traveling Eastbound on State Route 104 in the Town of Ontario before colliding with a deer that jumped the guardrail located on the south side of State Route 104. ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) -- One person is dead, one in critical condition, and four suspects are in custody after the driver of a stolen car crashed into another vehicle Sunday afternoon. Rochester Police say two of the four suspects that were inside the stolen vehicle were released from jail a few weeks ago, one of them on a stolen vehicle charge.

Police chase leads to crash, power outage in Canandaigua

The Professional Firefighters of Canandaigua Union said an unresponsive woman was cut out of the Jeep. Deputies say she was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with internal injuries and she is now in stable condition.

Power was out in the area of the crash for a time Wednesday afternoon and the Canandaigua Primary and Elementary Schools were placed in lockdown for a brief time.

After a brief chase on foot, deputies say they arrested Jeffery Dibble, 45, of Farmington, and charged him with second degree assault. He was taken to the Ontario County Jail where deputies say he will be held with no bail due to two previous felony convictions.

Deputies say they are still investigating, and more charges may be filed against Dibble.

Deadly crash in West Hempstead

Man killed in motorcycle accident on County Road 10 in Canandaigua NY identified

An Ontario County man killed in a motorcycle crash in Canandaigua on Sunday has been identified by New York State Police.

Troopers said that a car was northbound on County Road 10, just north of Recreation Drive, in the town of Canandaigua when the driver, Charles McCausland, turned into the path of a southbound motorcycle just after 10:30 a.m. Sunday.  

The motorcyclist, Robert Ogeen, 52, of Clifton Springs, was taken to F.F. Thompson Memorial Hospital in Canandaigua. He died shortly after he arrived. 

Troopers did not say whether anyone in the car was injured.

McCausland was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way, a traffic infraction.

Further details of the crash were not released. Troopers are investigating the crash.
