Scam

As a wedding videographer, I can say that The Knot and WeddingWire platform is a complete scam. Yes, they do not scam couples, they do not make money from you. Because they collect money from us.

When they advertise, they say "You will book at least 4 weddings a month". The man told me that the summer season is very busy and if I can have 10 weddings in a month. I jumped. I thought this was a good advertisement. Now, I pay almost $300 every month. This is the lowest price for small businesses. Since then (8 months) I have not been able to book a single wedding through their platform.

They scam photographers, videographers, DJs, everybody. They make you believe you will get a reservation but that's a lie. "Hello, we want to know more about your services" etc. They are constantly sending this kind of message. But most of the messages come from bots. The messages are all the same and the names of the couples are the same in different messages.

They collect $300 from thousands of sellers (base: $300 medium: $700 high:1500-3000). There are a few lucky companies that can book weddings to stay at the top of the page (they pay $1500 minimum). Thousands of vendors are listed on page 2 or worse yet, page 20. When you search their platform, there are 68 videographers in my city. No one can book except those listed at the top of the first page. The worst part is that they make you believe and sign a contract for you to stay for 12 months.

Edit: After this review, they sent an email to me, and guess what they told me. "Next year is gonna be the biggest year of weddings, stay with us, etc., etc.". Same strategy. Simply they say: give extra 3000$ dollar for nothing. They try to make you believe this system works.

Tons of fake leads

Tons of fake leads
Before signing with them as a Vendor, check how their website looks from a client point of view. They will fan out a single request to ALL similar vendors. This means that 90% of your "leads" are never interested in your services in the first place.

Oh, and their customer managers are totally unethical and lies to you straightforwardly.
Their claim about SEO is an absolute lie. They never expose any public links to your website.

Money hungry scammers

If I could give zero stars I would. They are money hungry scammers who don't care at all about vendors. They loop you into a "contract" Something you don't sign and is just send to your email but yet prevents you from being able to cancel or close your account. Every other normal subscription service has the option to cancel. They promise you will get a certain amount of leads but instead the majority of leads are fake bots and the ones that are real are price shoppers who don't convert because they don't even read about you they just copy paste the same msg to 100 vendors. Stay away! Don't lose your money with them!

Won't let you transfer domain because of their garbage website builder

I bought a domain off of them except their website builder is completely useless. They also do not allow you to transfer your domain that you paid for which should be illegal. It is a 3rd party that supplies the domain (EuroDNS) and they say it's simple to do. Wedding Wire is just a garbage company that won't let you. None of the features work on the site if you're actually able to add them on there. I wouldn't trust anything from your wedding to their buggy interface like RSVP's or the Registry's you can't even add on there. What a waste of time.

Scammed by this company.

On 06/02/2021 I was contacted by, Alli Koebbe, representing The Knot WorldWide, aka The Wedding Wire, aka The Knot in regards to advertising my wedding officiant services on their platform. During this phone call I was promised that my business would receive a minimum of 250 leads per month from brides wishing to hire an officiant. I was also promised that TKWW would use their SEO expertise to bring internet traffic to my website by means of Google. For 2 months I waited for their promises to be fulfilled. I received less than 10 leads total for 60 days and only 2 of those were real customers. The majority of my leads were robots, not real. I contacted my sales rep only to get an email reply denying she promised me the above. She said " I told you that your industry (meaning the hundreds of other wedding officiants) would receive 250 leads per year, not you solely and not monthly. She ignored my complaint about the Google lack of traffic. I was scammed and lied to by this company in order to get me to agree to a contract. This company knows they cannot live up to their claims/lies so they force you into a contract in order to become a customer. Have filed a BBB complaint as well.

Once your in, they won't let you go.

Yea Soo, im having a similar experience as a lot o people it would seem, once you sign in they will NEVER let you leave paid or unpaid, unless you go OUT of BUSINESS and can PROOVE to them that your no longer in business they will refuse to let you turn off your account. Please be 100% sure cause there is no turning back.. its insane.

I wrote in: Could you actually point out where it says unpaid accounts can’t deactivate there accounts? Cause from what I just read, it doesn’t mention anything about being locked into the account, only mentions You hereby acknowledge that your posts may be indexed by search engines. If you choose to suspend or delete your account, your content will remain.

What’s going on here guys?

They replied with: Thank you for following up!

As a vendor, you have signed up on our site as a user and therefore accepted our terms of use, which states that we reserve the right to determine who stays or who goes.

"Basic," "Free Trial," "Lite," or other unpaid vendor memberships may be offered by WeddingWire periodically. These unpaid vendor memberships do not guarantee any advertising placement or other benefits.

I don't know about you, but that does not make it clear that you as a business owner will not have the right or ability to leave or suspend, or do anything with your account. Unless you prove that your business no longer participates in weddings.

Scam, sketchy af, don't bother.

The website is glitchy af and customer service bots are useless

The website is glitchy af. I tried to edit the group titles in the guestlist, but I would click save and it would look like I had made changes but the next day it would revert back to the default titles. So organizing the guestlist was not even possible. It was really hard to figure out how to use the guestlist at all. I hate that all guests can see all events which leaves me with the option of only showing the main event (the wedding) or including all the events like the shower and rehearsal so that people who are not invited to those events can just decide to show up anyway. And the one that really made me cry was the registry. I spent two sleepless weeks researching and adding all the gear we needed for our honeymoon to our REI wedding registry. Today I tried to link the registry and it simply would not work. No URL on earth would link my registry to my website. So after wasting about 6 hours struggling with these websites, calling support and reading all the help guides and FAQs I end up with a hyperlink in the description box at the top of the registry page. Really??? REI is listed as a retailer on your website but it won't link properly so now I have some tacky hyperlink that you can hardly see. I have 80 guests invited and they're gonna log onto my website and see a big fat target logo on the registry page and find 9 stupid gifts that i don't really need but what the heck, it's a wedding. and the stuff that I really do need is hidden in a pale little link in the description box that nobody will even read. WORSE WEBSITE EVER! I can't tell you if this is better or worse than the competitors because this is my first wedding and if I ever get married again it will be at the courthouse. Your website it glitchy and your customer service bots are useless.

I have had a TERRIBLE experience…

I have had a TERRIBLE experience working with them. If you are not a photographer this is not the site for you and DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM! You will not get your money's worth. I have asked them over and over to cancel the contract and they refused. I already don't make a ton on weddings and to have booked so few weddings is ridiculous for the amount you pay monthly! I would give them zero stars if I could!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM

One of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life. Signed up for a pro account for my photography business but didn't realize I couldn't cancel so I got stuck paying $119 a month for a whole year. At the end of the year, I've tried calling a hundred times, left 99 messages and sent 98 emails requesting a phone call so I could cancel and not get billed after the year and no one will answer or call back or respond to email. They are a scam and on top of all of this, i got zero LEADS the entire year. I got plenty of emails/and/or fake leads but they were obviously generated by bots. Now I'm thinking about going to small claims to get my money back.

Hello Charles!

All of our advertising packages require a one-year commitment to ensure a consistent experience for couples, and to ensure that our Pros have the opportunity to be seen by engaged couples at all stages of the planning process.

We do provide our couples with pre-formatted templates to use if they choose when reaching out to vendors, this is why you have seen similar verbiage in multiple leads, the template options appear when a couple is on a vendors storefront and clicks the "Message Vendor" button on the storefront. We take the leads that come through our site very seriously, and we are always trying to ensure that we provide the best quality of lead to our Pros. To protect our vendors as best we can from spam, we have filters in place to try to prevent spam on our site.

We understand your concern and apologize for any negative experience. We have a dedicated team of WeddingPro Support Specialists to ensure your questions and concerns are resolved in a timely manner. If you need assistance with your account, feel free to contact [email protected] or 877-331-7752.

Current Advertiser

As a Wedding Professional The Knot and WeddingWire have helped increase my exposure on the web. I'm almost through a full year and it's been a success so far for collecting reviews and featuring myself on a platform that couples actively use to plan their wedding. As a custom stationery designer, my business isn't a "necessary" service for a wedding so I would say the traffic I get is good! Highly recommend this platform for advertising.

They are actually trash to their…

They are actually trash to their vendors. Have no concerns for how they are doing or whether or no their service is actually helping. DO NOT USE as a potential couple OR AS A VENDOR. They will drain the life out of you.

The only kind and friendly person you will talk to is the person selling the service to you after that it’s is a bunch of grumpy people who just tell you that you did sign a contract and not give you any help.

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. As a vendor, I was promised many leads, however that proved to be inaccurate. I received so many fake leads and no replies from the fake brides. The account rep was no help. We asked to cancel our contract based on the fact that we hadn’t received 1 single booking. As a company, we had many customers book based on word of mouth. Our work and quality was great but with our gold level profile, we couldn’t book 1 single bride in an entire year. This company is a scam. Vendors beware and do not give this company your money!!

WeddingWire was great a few years ago.... but

WeddingWire was great a few years ago, they seemed to really care about the vendors paying them for exposure. However, recently they have become very harassing and very pushy. They only seem to reach out to you at the end of the month as a “courtesy check-in” But it’s so obvious they are only reaching out to see if they can get money out of you. Anyone that has worked in any sales type of business knows this is the case for anyone selling any type of product.

They literally offer you nothing but exposure. I will disclose that I was paying $5700 a year for a gold listing with WeddingWire and all you’re getting is exposure. That’s it.

I really don’t like that they have become a discounted version of themselves, they have become a quick and easy one-click shop for wedding vendors. We as wedding vendors know that this is not at all how it should be, especially when couples are spending thousands sometimes more on their wedding. I noticed this when after some time all I was receiving was the same automated email template over and over again, nothing organically typed out. Not only that, I started to see fewer and fewer responses. And remember I paid for the gold listing, I was always on page 1. My guess is that the price didn't match and they're on to someone else with a better price. (don't get me wrong, pricing is everything, but pricing has become the name of the game thanks to WeddingWire) So I was paying more, getting way more emails but much much fewer responses. I also notice that clients are using the easiness of being able to find vendors on WeddingWire as a way to discount shop. So basically WeddingWire has put all its vendors in a bargain bin and couples can just keep hitting one click send emails till they find the price they like. I actually found that NOT buying any membership with WeddingWire worked out better. I found genuinely interesting couples and I get a response to almost all my emails.

I have brought these issues up with WeddingWire and the person who usually helps me. Their response was very upsetting, they double down on how much exposure you’ll get and that you’ll be on the first page of google. Not only that they keep reminding me of the hundreds of millions of dollars they are spending on SEO. Okay... SEO for WeddingWire? Or SEO to help couples find great wedding vendors?

I think WeddingWire has become a money-making machine. That’s good for their customers but not good for the people paying for their services. It’s a classic bait and switch. They dangle the possibility of getting in front of tons of potential couples but at the same time making it easier and easier for couples to bargain shop. I mean how many of us as wedding vendors have gone on a whim and booked someone without meeting them only for it to become a nightmare... ya we have all been there.

I found the old-fashioned way has made a comeback, talk to your couples, become friends with them!! You're spending one of the most important days of their lives with them. Not only that, some wedding vendors will spend almost the entire day right alongside the couple. You want to feel like the only reason you're there is because they got you at a discount(comparatively) ?? Ya, no thanks...

They take advantage of small businesses and their kindness while using "the bride" as an excuse!

When I first signed up for The Knot and Weddingwire, they had people on the phone, able to schedule, answer my calls, and they were really great about communication.

Now I've tried calling because of circumstances I can't control and not being able to offer wedding services anymore and no one is able to pick up? When I was considering they sat and broke it down for me, showed me powerpoints, and PROMISED that I would book weddings as a photographer and they even broke down that a few weddings would cover the costs but now it's been 6 months and I never booked a single session. They told me that THEY WERE DIFFERENT because the people that view their website are REAL and WANT TO BOOK VENDORS. But let me tell you- they're all SCAM inquiries or bargain shoppers that want cheap services. The majority of the inquiries I've had aren't even real and the ones that are real the people ghost me.

They tell you that you need to sign a year-long contract so you can "be there for the brides." I'm sorry but that's how they take advantage of you.

DO NOT give this company any of your bank account information, money, or personal information. They aren't here to help you- they're here to take your money even if you don't have anything left to give. The moment you get signed up the great customer service and ability to reach them will suddenly be gone! They won't take your calls anymore even when they promised they would be able to help. They don't care about you or the brides. They want to lock you in for the year with a contract so even when you're not offering wedding services anymore, when you're no longer operating your business, or when you don't have any more money, they'll overdraft your bank account and take everything from you that they can because of the contract. And you won't get anything that you paid for from them- don't trust them. It's not worth it- I wish I would have looked here before booking with them.
At the time I thought my finances would be more stable and I told them that I'm a college student and that I really just wanted to be there for the brides.
They told me that if I signed up for the year they'd give me a "special discount" of $130/month for 12 months. I'm 22 and married and because of COVID I don't have a job! And even though I told them all of this, they assured me that it would work out. Well, it didn't. I've paid half now and NOTHING. I've gotten NOTHING. I've paid HUNDREDS of dollars to be able to help brides and everyone that goes on The Knot or WeddingWire in my area wants a cheap photographer.

Don't trust this company! They take advantage of small businesses and their kindness while using "the bride" as an excuse!

Unethical Business

Please save yourself and DO NOT sign up with this scam of a business. Their sales rep called me and presented a presentation with thousands of numbers and promised me to connect me with 24 couples. When I confronted them with what their sale rep said, they told me it's my fault I didn't get it down on paper and my contract will not be canceled. Do not reply to me with the same default reply about the one year contract. The point is your employee is an unethical rep that talked on your behalf.

Do not get roped into this mess as a vendor!

I got roped into this scam of a business model at the end of 2019. I was given false information about the 'contract' that was hidden from me until after I 'signed.' If you are a vendor, do NOT sign up for this. I'm a photographer, and got many fake leads or was ghosted. Covid hit and I talked to my 'account rep' at the time who told me that they know times are hard (June 2020) and they were making exceptions. She still wouldn't let me cx my contract, but told me that if I didn't pay, my account would go delinquent and it would eventually time out with promise that I wouldn't be sent to an outside collection agency. I thought I was in the clear until last week when I got a threatening email from Chris (in house collections team) saying I had to pay up or I was going to be sent to collections. I talked to a billing manager on the phone today and long story short she told me she could write it off, but she wasn't going to and she'd make sure everybody I talked to from here on out would have the same story. Talk about a threat and horrible customer service. I paid up until covid hit, and based off the instruction I was given by their team member, my story has stayed the same. Very disappointed in this company and will never use them again.

Shifting Plans and Embracing Change in 2020

Wedding plans were forced to change last year for the majority of couples, including the 43% who continued with their ceremony and reception in 2020. For this particular group, many changes came at the last minute, as 35% of couples had all plans finalized, while another 53% had almost everything planned when they had to make modifications to their 2020 wedding due to COVID-19.

Given the uncertainty and evolving regulations throughout the year while trying to plan their 2020 ceremony and reception, it’s no surprise that roughly 80% of couples discussed a "plan B" with their fiancé(e) and over 60% did the same with their vendors.

In the end, couples worked tirelessly with their vendor teams to create a safe and memorable wedding day—from keeping guests socially distanced at the ceremony (62%) and hosting them outside (68%) to embracing technology, such as streaming, to allow for guests to witness the day from afar (43%). The data below highlights some notable adjustments couples who wed in 2020 made to their wedding day.

The Rise of Outdoor Weddings

For many of those that tied the knot in 2020, the location of their wedding had to change due to local and statewide restrictions. In fact, roughly 45% had to change their wedding venue location and one in five had to go as far as changing the city, state or even country in which they got married (21%).

  • While nearly 60% of couples got married where they currently live (on par with 2019 data), just over 40% said their “I dos” in one of their hometowns, which is up over 15% since 2019.

COVID-19 also caused couples to lean heavily into the use of outdoor locations for their celebrations—from their backyards to barn/farms (the top reception venue of 2020). Given the increased health and safety benefits of having an outdoor celebration, we saw an 11% increase in outdoor ceremonies and a 16% increase in outdoor receptions compared to last year. In fact, in 2020 nearly 60% of receptions were either fully or partially outside, compared to 43% in 2019.

While over 70% of couples booked a ceremony/reception venue, nearly a quarter of those who got married in 2020 had their ceremony and/or reception at their home or a family/friend’s home—an increase of over 20% since last year—and predominantly utilized the backyard (87%).

In It Together With Vendors

More than ever, couples relied heavily on their wedding vendors to help make the necessary changes to execute their wedding in a safe manner. In fact, couples hired 12 vendors on average (though three fewer than in 2019), with couples most likely to hire a photographer to capture the day (94%).

  • Given the circumstances, nearly half of couples getting married had to make changes to their vendor team due to COVID-19, with the majority adjusting the vendors’ scope of work (77%). For example, caterers were asked to change how food was served and rentals created new seating zones to ensure proper social distancing and even secured heaters to keep guests warm outside.

  • Additionally, of those that had to make changes, 40% of couples also added in new products/features not initially planned like unique floral backdrops to help create a focal point for a backyard wedding ceremony. Nearly one in five couples hired more vendors than initially anticipated due to COVID-19 modifications, most notably those vendors in the food and decor industry.

While both couples and vendors were forced to make many adjustments to the wedding day itself due to these unprecedented times, it also resulted in even greater reliance on technology throughout the planning process. One-third of couples used online chats to communicate with their vendors, while 32% scheduled video meetings (up 15% since 2019). Even one in ten couples met 100% virtually with their vendors—not ever meeting them in person prior to their wedding day. Despite the challenges, 78% of couples say their vendors were understanding of their unique situation and accommodating to new requests/updates, which speaks highly to the pros in the industry.

WW Section 4

Creating Personal Touches Through Food and Beverage

Year after year, we see couples putting emphasis on the guest experience. And while this past year showcased more intimate weddings with smaller guest count, it didn’t stop couples from adding unique touches to make the guest experience special.

We found this to be particularly true when it came to food and beverage, as many couples had to make adjustments in this area due to COVID-19 (54%). Couples used this opportunity to elevate the experience, from serving guests individual hors d’oeuvres like mini charcuterie boards (42%) to adding butler and/or bottle service (18%). One-third of couples also increased the catering staff for added health and safety measures.

  • Additional health precautions included changing seating to allow for more space and/or less guests per table (77%), serving food outside (44%) and even using a plexiglass/display box to keep food shielded (13%).

Despite the modifications, couples stuck to some tried and true traditions when it came to food and beverage, such as performing the classic cake-cutting ceremony (86%) and including an open bar (70%). Other popular trends included providing guests with dessert other than cake (53%), creating a signature cocktail (21%) and even incorporating locally- sourced products (22%).

Keeping Guests Informed Along the Way

If one thing is true about COVID-19, it forced many couples to be flexible, and as a result, get in touch with their guests multiple times over the course of the year—from uninviting some guests due to size restrictions to answering COVID-19 related questions and informing others of postponed nuptials.

  • For those that had to reschedule either all or part of their wedding, 60% communicated the change with their guests via wedding website, while text messaging (58%) and sending new invitations and/or save-the-dates by mail (51%) were other popular methods.

  • Nearly 50% of couples also provided guests with COVID-19 specific FAQs to share important details such as number of attendees, health and safety measures and location updates.

For those that provided a virtual/live streaming option (43%), the majority focused on streaming the ceremony only (77%) and notified their guests of the details in a myriad of ways, most notably through email (45%) and on their wedding website (45%). Incorporating this technology into their wedding also gave couples a unique opportunity to invite more than just those guests who were physically invited to the wedding to watch their nuptials (41%).

Change in Attire Due to COVID-19

With the number of changes being made to wedding ceremonies and receptions, it’s easy to wonder how attire was impacted. In a survey of female-identifying consumers, over 8 in 10 told us that COVID-19 impacted at least one aspect of their attire search or selection.

  • The top change females had to make was to their try on experience (53%), as many said fewer loved ones were able to join them for shopping due to COVID capacity restrictions. Additionally, 45% of women said the pandemic impacted how they researched attire, with many opting to conduct more research online and visit less stores in person than initially planned. While there was greater reliance on digital resources, nearly all females (92%) said they visited at least one store in person prior to making their decision.

  • The pandemic was less likely to have an impact on the attire couples wore to the ceremony—10% of females said their attire changed and 14% reported their partner’s attire changed.  Roughly two-thirds of females purchased their attire more than 9 months before their wedding, which limits the ability to make changes as the date approaches.

The top styles of female attire were consistent with prior years and average dress cost remained steady. There continues to be a preference for attire that is primarily a shade of white (85%), though this has been shrinking (down from 96% five years ago). When it comes to men’s attire, there continues to be a shift to less formal wear, as 70% will wear a suit or something more casual than a tuxedo (up from 54% five years ago).

Honeymoons, Minimoons and More

More than 70% of couples who married in 2020 did or still plan to go on some type of post-wedding vacation, whether that’s in the form of a honeymoon, minimoon or staycation. Due to the impact COVID-19 has had on the ability to safely travel, it’s no surprise that the majority of couples were forced to make adjustments to their initial honeymoon plans (84%).

In 2020, just over 50% of couples took a honeymoon (down nearly 20% since 2019) and the majority flew to their destination (71%). While the majority of these couples gravitated towards the beach (58%), nearly one-third opted to get out in nature. Other popular types of honeymoons included all-inclusive (28%), sight-seeing (22%) and luxury trips (22%).

Conversely, around 25% of couples took a minimoon in 2020 (think: cabin retreat or spa weekend), where they drove to their destination (78%). While beach trips and outdoor adventures were popular for those that minimooned (39%), one in four headed on a road trip to explore areas closer to home.

How to Find a Couple's Wedding Website on The Knot

As a wedding guest, you might have logistical questions leading up to the big day, like how to get to the venue or what to wear. Instead of reaching out to the couple directly, there's an easy way to get all the wedding information you need thanks to the couple's wedding website. While the to-be-weds would surely love to hear from you, they'll be busy in the weeks leading up to the wedding and might not have time to answer individual guest questions. Before giving them a call or text, search for the answers you need on their wedding website first. This helpful tool is a one-stop shop for all the wedding details you need, from the date and time to the dress code and their registry information. But how do you find a couple's wedding website? Some will include the link on their invitations, but that's not the only way to find their webpage. Here, we break down exactly how to find a couple's wedding website on The Knot. Plus, we share all the information to look for on their site, so you can answer every question you might have before reaching out to the couple.

How to Find a Couple's Wedding Website on The Knot

If you're not sure how to find a couple's wedding website on The Knot, we have great news: the process is easier than you realize. First, go to TheKnot.com and hover over the "Wedding Websites" tab on the top menu bar. From there, click on "Find a Couple's Wedding Website." You'll be taken to a page where you can enter their first and last names, as well as the month and year for their wedding. Finally, press "Search" and their wedding website (as well as their registry on The Knot) will pop up.

What to Look For on a Couple's Wedding Website

So, you found a couple's wedding website. Now what? Their site will be a helpful resource to use in the weeks leading up the big day. Here's what to look for on their custom wedding page.

RSVP Information

Sending in your RSVP in a timely manner is the most important thing to do as a wedding guest (besides showing up on the big day). The couple will need a definitive headcount to share with their venue and team of wedding pros, so submit your RSVP as soon as possible. Formal invites are typically sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding date, so aim to RSVP three to four weeks prior. (The earlier you send in your response, the better.)

Mail-in RSVP cards are still common, but some couples are opting for digital correspondence. The Knot offers RSVP functionality through wedding websites, and this might be their preferred means of receiving your response. If so, you'll be able to RSVP directly through their wedding website. Both their site and formal invitations will have directions on how to respond, so keep an eye out for instructions.

Their Registry

While giving a wedding gift isn't required, it's highly encouraged. If you're not sure what to buy, it's always best to shop directly from the couple's wedding registry first. Most to-be-weds will include their registry information on their wedding website, but you can use the same process as above to find their gift wishlist too. If they don't have a registry set up and you need to buy a present, shop our roundup of the best wedding gifts for great ideas that'll wow.

Wedding Details

Before you text or call the couple to ask about details like the date, time, location or dress code, check their wedding website first. There's a good chance that all of your logistical questions will be answered on their site, making it a valuable resource. If your question isn't answered on their site, try asking members of the wedding party or other guests you know will be attending before going to the couple directly.

Lodging and Travel Accommodations

Depending on the location of the nuptials, the couple may arrange travel and lodging accommodations. This will be helpful information for you, especially if you'll be traveling from out of town. If the couple reserved room blocks at nearby hotels, you might be able to book a discounted stay or coordinate travel with other guests. You'll also need to know if they'll be providing transportation to and from the ceremony and reception, which will help you plan travel logistics for the wedding day (or the entire weekend). Look for this information before making your own transportation arrangements to simplify your prewedding to-do list.

Local Activities

Some to-be-weds customize their wedding website even further with local activities and sightseeing recommendations. If they've taken the time to personalize their wedding website, take full advantage of their creativity. These recs will be especially helpful if you'll be traveling from out of town or if there's downtime in between wedding activities. Browse through any additional pages on the couple's wedding website too, because you never know what hidden information or surprises you'll find.

The Felt Estate Named Winner of The Knot Best of Weddings and WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards

Awards Honor Top Wedding Vendors Across America

The Felt Estate is pleased to announce that they have been selected as a 2021 winner of The Knot Best of Weddings and as a 2021 winner of the WeddingWire Couples’ Choice award - accolades representing the highest- and most-rated wedding professionals as reviewed by real couples, their families and wedding guests on The Knot and WeddingWire, leading wedding planning brands in the $200 billion global wedding planning industry.

tk2021.jpg

Despite COVID-19 interrupting many 2020 weddings and social events, wedding professionals around the nation continued to support to-be-weds throughout their wedding planning journeys. From adjusting future schedules to make way for postponed weddings, to helping couples host socially distanced weddings following state and local guidelines and restrictions with an increased focus on health and safety, wedding pros—and the industry as a whole—rallied together in 2020, ultimately helping couples continue to celebrate life and love. These awards honor the vendors who went above and beyond to help to-be-weds navigate the global pandemic.

With COVID-19 our wedding faced many challenges very close to our wedding date, including having to cancel with our original venue. We found the Felt Estate just 2 weeks from our wedding date and you can imagine the stress we were facing with the time constraint, but Derrick was very responsive and helpful making the process as smooth and easy as possible. Our wedding turned out perfect and the location received so many compliments from our guests! It was a very relaxed and enjoyable day.

In 2021, five percent of hundreds of thousands of local wedding professionals receive these distinguished awards. To determine the winners millions of user reviews are analyzed across various vendor categories—including venues, musicians, florists, photographers, caterers and more—to find the highest rated vendors of the year. These winners represent the best of the best wedding professionals that engaged couples should consider booking for their own unique weddings. The winners exhibit superior professionalism, responsiveness, service and quality when interacting with the millions of couples who turn to TheKnot and WeddingWire to help with their wedding planning process each month.

The Felt Estate is an absolute dream venue. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to get married there! I was really drawn to the multiple spaces across the estate which allow for countless options when it comes to staging your event. We opted to get married in front of the chapel (stunning!), have cocktail hour up by the mansion, dinner in the tent, and back up by the mansion for dancing. It flowed so well and our guests loved getting to explore the estate throughout the evening. The true gem of the Felt, though, is getting to work with Derrick and Holden. They are pros—there is no question they cannot answer. They guided us through changing COVID regulations proactively and with such kindness. On the big day, they were present to help but also hung back and just let us and our loved ones enjoy a perfect day. I would do it again 100 times if I could!!
