Karma Wellness Water Review: Truly Healthy or Truly Bogus?

Welcome to our Karma Wellness Water review. Is this probiotic water the real deal or just another water gimmick that’ll come and go like a brief summer rain? That’s what you’re about to find out. Here at Alkaline Water Machine Source, we do the sleuthing so you don’t have to!

In our Karma Water review, we’ll check out the ingredients, probiotic strain, current Karma Wellness Water reviews, our evaluation, where to buy it in bulk for the cheapest price, and several other interesting bits of information. By the end, you’ll know for sure whether this water belongs in your refrigerator.

Let’s start with the available varieties and ingredients for each.

Karma Wellness Water Flavors & Ingredients

Karma Water Flavors

There are four types of Karma Water: Vitamins, Probiotics, Kids, and Energy. In our review, we focus on the Vitamins and Probiotics.

Here’s a breakdown of the available flavors for each product line:

  • Vitamins: Orange Mango, Açai Pomegranate, Pineapple Coconut, Raspberry Guava Jackfruit, Passionfruit Green Tea
  • Probiotics: Blueberry Lemonade, Berry Cherry, Kiwi Lemon, Strawberry Lemonade, Tropical Coconut
  • Kids: Fruit Punch, Berry Blast, Tropical Twist
  • Energy: Raspberry Matcha, Lemon Matcha, Mango Matcha

What’s in Karma Wellness Water? Each variety of Karma Water is made to boost your health in a specific way. For example, the Orange Mango flavor boosts mental alertness. This angle is the same angle Vitamin Water took decades ago. Is Karma doing a better job than Vitamin Water and serving up a superior product?

Each bottle of Karma vitamin water provides 110% of 7 essential vitamins along with a custom antioxidant blend for each flavor. Let’s take a closer look at the orange mango flavor that’s for sharper thinking and mental alertness.

Orange Mango special ingredients:

  • Choline
  • Coenzyme Q10
  • Yerba Mate
  • Eleutherococcus Senticosus Root Extract
  • Guarana Seed Extract

Obviously, Karma has gone well beyond Vitamin Water to create a unique blend of ingredients for each of its flavors. In addition to the antioxidant blend for each flavor, Karma adds the following 7 vitamins: A, C, D, E, B3, B5, B6, B12.

When we review packaged products and healthy bottled water brands, we always check the “other ingredients” since every company must list its ingredients. Often times, companies don’t advertise the ingredients included in their lists of other ingredients because the ingredients are unhealthy. Is Karma different?

Karma uses citric acid as a preservative (harmless). The most suspect ingredient is “natural flavor.” The company uses “spring water” as its base and cane sugar & stevia as sweeteners. Overall, there are no unhealthy Karma Water ingredients that we see.

Probiotic Strain Ganeden BC30

Before we move onto the current reviews, let’s check out the Probiotic water. It too contains the 7-vitamin blend. The main difference is the addition of probiotic strain Ganeden BC30.

According to Karma, Ganeden BC30 is an extremely stable probiotic that delivers 10x more live probiotic cells than traditional yogurt. Karma advertises 2 billion cultures per bottle and no refrigeration necessary.

I’ve taken probiotics for years and often take 100 billion CFU capsules. What I like about Karma’s probiotic is that the science is sound. Ganeden BC30 is a powerful probiotic that can survive extreme conditions until it has a chance to grow in your gut.

This type of probiotic strain is similar to a seed, in the way it protects itself with an outer shell until it’s “planted” in your intestines. Overall, we like what Karma has done here.

Karma Wellness Water is Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Lactose-Free

Current Karma Wellness Water Reviews

Karma impressed us with its ingredients and delicious flavors, but does it deliver? Creating a product is only half of the battle. Delivering a product that people like is the hard part.

We did our deep dive into current Karma Water reviews to see what current drinkers are saying to identify positive and negative trends. Here’s what we found:

  • Most people love the flavor choices while others find them too tart or sweet. One person who loves all the flavors compared the taste to Crystal Light.
  • One Karma drinker advised people to flip the bottle upside down if the vitamin-probiotic blend gets stuck in the cap. This way, the water enters the cap and dissolves the vitamin blend.
  • A majority of drinkers ordered bottles that arrived fresh and sealed properly while others received damaged goods.
  • One avid Karma drinker recommended the strawberry lemonade flavor and said the drinks are most delicious when ice-cold. The Karma lover also noted that Karma sources its water from a spring in Vermont, which we also like.
  • Another Karma lover is obsessed with the pineapple coconut flavor.
  • One person recommended the probiotic variety as a high-quality low-carb probiotic drink for an affordable price.
  • Another probiotic drinker with a sensitive stomach said her stomach tolerates Karma well.

Our Karma Wellness Water Review

Now, it’s our turn. I broke our review into two parts to make it easier to digest: our likes and our dislikes.

  • Karma’s ingredients impress us the most. Most of the time, “healthy” drinks sneak in unhealthy preservatives or other ingredients we don’t want in our diets. Karma did a great job of minimizing unnecessary ingredients.
  • We love probiotics, and we think Karma uses a high-quality strain that’ll actually deliver live probiotics to your gut. One of the problems with inferior probiotics is they don’t deliver what they advertise since the probiotic strains degrade in the bottle or don’t survive long enough to make it to your gut. On top of that, the 2-billion figure is substantial for each bottle.
  • The Karma cap is a nice touch. Karma keeps its ingredients fresh by separating the vitamins, probiotics, and antioxidant blends from the water until you’re ready to drink.
  • The Vermont spring water source is another reason we like Karma. We prefer to drink spring water or ionized water because spring water is often alkaline due to its natural mineral content. We like that Karma chose spring water as its base instead of reverse osmosis water.
  • Current drinkers’ flavor reviews caught our eye. People are loving the Karma flavors.
  • It’s a low-carb drink. There are barely any calories in Karma, and it provides a wide range of essential vitamins, which means you aren’t adding a bunch of empty calories to your diet.
  • The antioxidant blends are interesting. I’ve personally taken vitamins and herbs for well over a decade, so I know how to spot inferior supplements. Karma’s blends are eclectic, robust and pack quite a punch.

  • While we do think Karma Water is indeed a healthy drink, it’s not something we recommend drinking daily to get your vitamins. In other words, Karma shouldn’t regularly replace healthy foods or be leaned on daily.
  • We noticed a negative trend among drinkers who reported damaged bottles upon delivery. Most drinkers were happy, however, there were enough negative reports to make this point worth noting. There was also a mold problem that appears to have resolved because we didn’t see any mold reports in the most recent reviews. We recommend reading the most recent reviews on Amazon before you buy it.

Our Final Score: 7.5/10

Bottom Line

When we first decided to take a closer look at Karma Water, we had low expectations. Packaged health drinks have a long track record of being duds. Health drinks typically go in and out of style like social media trends.

Will Karma Water stand the test of time? We don’t know, but one thing we do know is that it’s one of the better bottled healthy drinks currently on the market.

Is Karma Water healthy? Final Answer.

Karma Water is healthy when consumed in moderation. It becomes unhealthy when someone depends on it as a primary source of vitamins. We recommend the probiotic version first because Karma’s probiotic strain is one of the best currently being sold by a health drink company.

Karma Wellness Water | I tried it...Should You Buy It?

Just Being Britt JustBeingBritt Karma Wellness Water Review

I feel like there is always some new health/wellness product that is the "best new thing to try."  During my latest grocery shopping trip, a new "wellness water" caught my attention and I wanted to see if it was really worth the hype the labeling marketed it to be.

I know a lot of products are marketed as "healthy" but in reality they contain a lot of sugar, way too many ingredients or just don't live up to the hype.

Karma Wellness Water

is a drink that allows you to add vitamins to your water with the push of a cap.   The website states that this water was

born out of the idea that what goes around comes around. A product based on the simple belief that if you do something positive—for others, or for yourself—you’ll get something positive back in return.
Just Being Britt JustBeingBritt Karma Wellness Water Review

This brand claims this product "transforms pristine spring water into wellness water, creating positive effects for your mind, body, spirit, balance, and vitality."  So there are different flavors of water that each serve a different purpose.  I chose to try one for the body, a fitness accelerator.

Instead of the typical Nutritional Facts, Karma Wellness Water has Supplement Facts. I personally prefer nutritional facts so I know I'm getting the whole shabang of nutritional information.

One of the big eye catchers of this water is the easy and cool way of adding supplements into the water. Peel the lid, push the powder into the water and shake the mixture together.

The taste is actually pretty good and flavorful.  I was expecting something more like watered down juice, but I enjoyed the taste.

Personally, for the price and abundant vitamins, I would only drink a couple of these in a week.   If you take a daily multivitamin, that is more cost efficient.  If not, this would be a good alternative to keep in the fridge.  Also, although my water was labeled "fitness accelerator," it's not a pre-workout drink.  The label seems to relate to more of how the specific vitamins can affect your body overall.

Have you tried this wellness water?  Would you try it?

My Thoughts

I am all about Probiotic Water lately. Karma is by far the best. I love the fact that I can add the premixed powder right before I am ready to drink the water. It dissolves quickly and the water is ready to drink within seconds. The premixed powders all taste really good. I really like the Berry Cherry flavor. It's like drinking flavored water but Karma is much better for you. Even though the powder is full of vitamins, I don't get a vitamin taste when drinking the water. I prefer to drink Karma Probiotic Water cold. :) I love the fact that Karma Probiotic Waters are safe for kids. My sons, who are 2 and 4 years old, LOVE Karma. Karma allows us to have healthy, regulated tummies. I highly recommend!

I received samples in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. Always!
