Kansas Emergency Rental Assistance (KERA) Program
The KERA Program is funded through federal COVID money and administered in Kansas by the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (Kansas Housing).  The KERA program benefits tenants and landlords. It provides rent, utility, and internet assistance to households experiencing financial hardship because of the COVID pandemic. The tenant gets to stay in the home and the landlord receives payment for all past due amounts, including late fees.

Landlords and tenants apply together through an online application process. If the application is approved, the landlord or utility provider receives funds directly from KERA. To date, the KERA program has provided over $ million to 3, Kansas households across the state.

To learn more about the program, such as eligibility criteria, the application process, and program guidelines, visit the KERA website. Kansas Housing has prepared a fact sheet for tenants (also available in Spanish) and a fact sheet for landlords (also available in Spanish), which give good overviews of the program.

The mutant dragged me out of the cockpit and carried me down the corridor to the infirmary. I screamed and kicked out until I fell to the floor. Looking up, I saw their commander. A huge skull with bony outgrowths, shape with iron inserts, palms like shovels. He looked at me for half a minute, and then spat between my legs and the troika left.
